Auto Hold/Stop Start Possible Safety Issue

Not sure if discussed, other day I had Auto Hold enabled. I was stopped and the engine turned of(stop/start green light was on). I was waiting a few minutes for the wife to drop of the kid at daycare. Seat warmer was on, heating and radio also. Suddenly the engine started and the car jerked forward and i put my foot on the brake. I know with the stop/start the engine will turn back on if certain parameters are met. But shouldn't Auto Hold remain engaged. Maybe it was and i was to quick to the brake pedal after feeling the jerk. Think i need to hit an empty parking lot to see if it happens again.

That's is odd, and the very reason I permanently disabled ISG and never enable Auto Hold. Too many weird circumstances for these two to interact with each other in strange ways. For example when I go to park, the car shuts off, then I have to wait for it to start back up just to put it in park and shut it off again.

The car will lurch, but it shouldn't actually roll. The brakes should still be holding. If this actually failed then it would need to be repaired. Likely means the vacuum pump isn't working correctly.

The transmission is in gear the entire time, but when the engine stops the entire driveline relaxes. A traditional automatic transmission requires fluid pressure developed from the engine rotation to actually have anything engaged though. Once the engine starts, the normal load gets put back into the driveline, causing the lurch. Same type of lurching sensation if you hold you foot on the brake and rev the engine.

I like the feature. I've learned to use it to my benefit. I stop far enough behind vehicles, so that I can just tap the had to get things going when traffic starts moving again, at the same time save some gas if I'm stopped for a period of time.

J'aime la fonctionnalité. J'ai appris à l'utiliser à mon avantage. Peut-être que je ne sais pas comment faire. J,allume le interrupteur et il est toujours au Jaune et dans le tableau de bord, quand je freine il est toujours au Jaune. Pourquoi il se mes pas au Vert .Merci de m'aider.

Stop & go ne fonctionne que si certaines conditions sont remplies, elles sont expliquées dans le manuel du propriétaire. par exemple, si la vitesse du ventilateur est réglée au-dessus d'un certain niveau, la voiture n'éteindra pas

In the manual it will tell you under certain conditions, the system will not engage(outside temp, Climate control fan speed, vaccum pressure, etc). You also need to have your seat belt engaged. I think with the colder temps outside it may not engage as often(heating on, seat warmers, steering wheel warmer, etc)

Dans le manuel, il vous indiquera dans certaines conditions que le système ne s'engagera pas (température extérieure, vitesse du ventilateur de la climatisation, pression du vide, etc.). Vous devez également avoir votre ceinture de sécurité engagée. Je pense qu'avec les températures plus froides à l'extérieur, il peut ne pas s'engager aussi souvent (chauffage allumé, sièges chauffants, volant chauffant, etc.)
