A couple of months ago I had a Unichip installed, with custom tune and plugs. Standard air cleaner and stock bi-modal exhaust were kept.
Really pleased with 272kW and 701nM of torque at the wheels. A lot of extra power/torque is in the mid range. The powergain feels great but only half as good as the difference the extra torque makes. It pulls more than a Boy Scout jamboree.
At 100kmh on the speed camera infested Hume Highway I got 6.9 litres per 100km which was amazing. The average fuel economy has now dropped to 8.3 litres/100 (over 5000km).
But the best thing with the tune is the change in response and throttle drivability. Overtaking acceleration is something to feel.
A modest investment has delivered about 193kW per tonne. It’s changed what was already a very good car into an amazing drive, ESPECIALLY in Sport mode. In Sport mode on really twisty roads I can easily steer with the throttle.
I’m not going any further with mods as I feel that the power and torque now matches the chassis perfectly.
Cheers
