Not a vet but definitely not new to the street racing scene. I must say though, it was easier to get races with my 2018 coyote mustang than my 4 door Kia stinger. The youtube videos have done us no justice. My car is completely stock, but I have had other "stock" muscle cars 392s, camaros and stangs all feel as if I owe them justice. When I ask why, they all bring up various youtube videos where a stinger out runs their particular car.

Will intakes void warranty? I've heard they will not, however if there's a failure and it's attributed to the intakes then the warranty will not cover it. Is this correct?

Intakes will not technically void the warranty, so I've heard, but ultimately it comes down to your local shop's attitude toward mods if anything should happen. I'm not the expert on this, but there are plenty of examples on this site.
The Stinger has a higher ceiling with stock components than a lot of other commonly seen sporty cars on the streets, and what I've seen on youtube is a lot of modded and tuned Stingers laying waste to lightly modded Camaros, Challengers, Mustangs, etc. Not everyone in the car community is smart enough to realize or pay attention to the details usually mentioned in the video about whether the race is of comparable cars, they only remember "Stinger beats Mustang GT". It at least keeps the aholes at bay since they don't actually know what you have, so less likely other drivers will actively f^%$ with you. I even had someone in a sport mercedes wave an apologetic hand for boxing me out yesterday in traffic. If I was still driving my Buick they wouldn't have felt the need to say anything or perhaps offer me a one finger salute. haha
