Kia resurfaced my rotors under warranty twice due to "warping". They're "warped" again to a significant degree. I've ordered new pads but I want to turn them again, but I am not sure how many times this can be done. I have a set of calipers to measure the rotor thickness, does anyone have that spec?

I would never have let them turn new rotors!!! However to answer your question the rotor has a min thickness. Whatever that is will be how many times they can turn them. If they are taking on little to no material they can do it a lot. If they are taking of a lot of material, they might only be able to do it once or twice.

They kinda just... did it. Without my permission. I've since moved states and gone away from that awful dealer, but with my new pads I am ready for a smooth braking experience.

Any idea what the min thickness is of those rotors?

No I don’t have the manual for it.

The minimum thickness is cast into the rotor, you can probably read it if you take a tire off, worst case take the rotor off.

And for pete's sake, stop removing rotor material until those terrible OEM pads are off the car.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

Thanks!
And yeah that's the plan. I'm going to push for new rotors from Kia due to the fact that they're now prematurely worn due to having been turned so many times anyway, and my EBC pads shipped from Summit today.

Turning rotors is not a bad thing - it's normal maintenance. Every parts store in the US has a rotor/drum resurfacing machine, although most are just used as shelves now. The problem is most shops have stopped doing it since stock rotors have gotten much cheaper over the years, so fewer guys know how to run the machine properly, so sometimes you get a shit job out of them, or the machine is permanently broken.

Or in my case, O'Reilley's wouldn't turn my rotors because their database doesn't have data for Stinger rotors (even though the min thickness is cast into the F-ing rotor).

The manual says:
Front
17” is 26mm
18” is 28mm
Rear
17” is 11mm
18” is 20mm
