What Trim

You get the most options at the top of the line GT2. I personally think you get the best bang for your buck with the GT1. Just my .02...

I'm in the market for my next vehicle and the Stinger is at the top of the list, which Trim do you think you get the most options for the dollar???

Agreed! The jump between GT and GT1 is much larger than GT1 and GT2. Personally the moon roof, better screens, and premium sound system is worth the price bump between GT and GT1. GT2 is fully loaded, but I didn't find it worth it. Head ups is pretty cool though.

My 2019 GTS has options between GT and GT1. Only came in Fed Orange so that is limiting if you don't like orange and you would have to buy used. I have the sunroof, HK stereo, rear LSD, alcantara steering wheel, headliner and console cover and external carbon fiber parts. MSRP was 45K. I bought it new for 35k with 26 miles on it.

From a value perspective, you might want to consider the 2.0T GT-Line model with Sun & Sound package, which gets you premium sound, LED interior lighting, sunroof, and larger touchscreen interface. MSRP is $37K with this package; you should be able to easily get it for $33K or perhaps $1-$2K less, especially if you go the lease buyout route.

The 2.0T model is a much different car than its fire-breathing 3.3L big brothers: lighter (3600 lbs for the 2.0L RWD) and still plenty quick for street use. It easily turns 30 mpg on the highway and has longer-lasting symmetrical 18" all-season tires (vs. the staggered 19" summer tires on the GT and higher trims). Even if you find a GT+ model for the same selling price, cost of ownership should be less overall with the 2.0T... but as they say, you got to pay to play.

Keep in mind though that GT-Line models do not have options for certain key features that the GT+ trims have available, such as LED headlights, electronic parking brake, and full color MID.

Among the GT trims, the GT1 is in the sweet spot of price and features.

Good luck in your search.

GT2 any Stinger is a huge value and a lot a car for your money but the GT2 has all the options and toys you need and it won't brake your bank like a German car would do.

Wish I could find a deal like that. Was that a cash or a loan deal? I feel like dealers don't even want to talk to me once I turn down loans and leases.

paying cash is a surefire way to get the worst deal.

Just take a loan and pay it off immediately. Cash buyers are kryptonite to car salesmen.

Aren't there penalties and contracts preventing me from doing that?

I went with the GT1. While I liked the 360 camera, I've never had HUD, I'm never sitting in the backseat to use the heated rears, I can pull the hatch down myself, and I haven't had 16 way seats for 20 years... So I went GT1. Also, the big deciding factor was more with the mechanical shifting vs the shift by wire. I like being able to use manual in any drive mode, especially when the roads are bad.

Have to agree that the GT1 is the sweet spot. Sure, the GT2 has a few more bells and whistles, but I decided that they weren't worth the $5,000 premium. The GT1 contains all of my "must haves:" premium audio, sunroof, ventilated seats, blind spot monitor, adaptive cruise, navigation, LED lights, color instrument panel screen, etc.
The only feature I really wanted from the GT2 was the HUD. Saved $100/month on my 48 month loan by going with the GT1. I'm happy with my decision.

My philosophy was its an amazing car for the money and a lot of car for the dollar, why not get the best of this bargain? I went with the GT2.

Welcome to the forum. Another plug for the GT1, since I have it. But that was more about "must haves" putting me into a GT1: had to be the 3.3TT; had to have the Harman Kardon 15 speakers surround sound; had to have the sunroof. Everything else was simply what the car I got came with. I didn't insist on anything but the color, because that was what my wife wanted. Glad I got AWD, though, I have to say (going into my 3rd winter).

I think I could have been happy in a GT1. It checks a lot of boxes. If I never test drove the GT2 I wouldn’t have been the wiser to the HUD, 360 cameras and shift by wire and I would have been perfectly happy with a great car. But I drove a GT2 and don’t ever want to trade having a HUD or 360 cameras. Shift by wire is OK, I do like the coasting feature. GT1 is probably best value overall.

Yea my 2019 GTS was purchased outright. I bought it on the last day of January 2020 and there were several good cash rebates at the time. I live in South Carolina and bought it from a GM/Kia dealer in Jackson, TN. Great dealer. I was gonna lease it but they really gave me a great purchase price.
