Hi have just purchased a 2021 stinger mid December delivery, the dealer told me that it's coming to Australia with the old Kia badges. Has anyone heard otherwise I thought that in Australia we were getting the new badges...

Thank you for your reply I wasn't aware that there was a different. it is arriving mid December with the new tail lighs and larger 10 inch screen. New wheels .how do I find out

From what you describe it should be the facelift model.

So that means the old badges the dealer is prepared to change them for me if I drop the new ones in . didn't want to purchase new badges for nothing.where would the best place to buy badges? eBay.. thank you for your help

I've never heard of new badges. The 2021 facelift is also available to order in the EU and it has the same badges.

Oh, and no quilted seats. Do you get that in Australia?

I thought they were all quilted seats but now that you have showed me different I'm thinking maybe not....these seats look very nice .I did ask if it had the new leather seats and they said yes so I assumed it was quilted but now that you are showing me those I doubt it does.

A little disappointed that it doesn't come with the quilted seats but those seats in the picture also look beautiful

These seats are actually a new stitching design compared to the current seats - I like the new look.

Agree! I also like them more than the quilted ones.
I'm going next week to the dealer... curious if they will have a new one on display.

Nice seats, I do like the quilted seat but would not mine those as well. Maybe quilted is Korea only? The door panels match better with this seat patern as well.

also there is the Korean cup holders with cover nice.

Depending on the car exterior color such as red the black interior with red stiching / seat belt is nice also. Especially if you also set the ambient lights to red.

Howdy and welcome. "New" badges would only include the larger, centered "Stinger" script across the back. KIA is for all foreign (not S. Korean) markets. I never heard differently. The projected new lettering style for the KIA (which looks like KN with me feeling like I am dyslexic) could be a possibility? You're in Aus so maybe you're getting that new KIA badge first. (speculation is always fun, especially when cooped up)

Thank you for that information I was under the impression that in Australia we were getting the centered stinger at the back ,and the badge that has an E for the front. But it seems that's not the case... confusing watching so many YouTube clips and reading newspaper articles .I think I'm stinger info overload.

Very nice interior I have gone for red leather , maybe if I had waited longer I could have ordered other options like red seatbelt and stitching but wasn't given the choice as I believe the car is on the boat already. Thank you for your reply

We have had the covered cup holders over here from the beginning. Maybe it's more of a lifestyle thing in North America that everyone is always using the cupholder, hence no need to have a cover for them
I actually always keep mine closed unless I stop for an espresso. But then, after drinking it, the cover can be closed again because the cup is small enough to fit under it.

I also have a 2021 model on order. I too are having difficulties finding out exactly what will come. I did a deal to get a MY20 model but all of a sudden they could't get me the color or colors I wanted. So they put a MY21 on order. That was approx 5 weeks ago. At the moment the dealer can't even really tell me when they will arrive. Waiting Waiting. Look on line every day to see if there are any stories about any arriving in australia.
