Hi
I have a 2018 Stinger and the guy that puts my winter tires on told me I need to replace brakes. He told me that the rotors are not scored but he said he found it strange that the rear breaks were about a 1000 km from metal to metal. He suggested replacing all 4 pads the problem was that he could not get the parts as it is dealer only. Does anybody know If I can get the pads. My mechanic said he could save me some labour.
What would a brake job cost at the dealership? Is there anyway of getting the parts I need. Can anybody help?

Welcome! Moving this into our brakes section. :)

There are plenty of pad options available, try the stores on this forum.

Are these the pads that replace the Brembo pads?.....I called a dealer and they said they will not just replace the pads. I can buy the pads and have them installed or they will replace rotors and pads. My mechanic said he was surprised that the rears needed done but suggested I get all four pads replaced.

These are aftermarket market pads that fit the Brembo calipers.
Are you claiming warranty from your dealer or just replacing the OE with aftermarket?

Well the car only has 87,000km on it. I’m not sure if the brakes are covered under warranty. I was shocked when the mechanic told me that the brakes needed doing. I really don’t drive the car hard.

At 87k warranty will not be an option.
Do your research & I’m sure you will get good advice on pads to suit your area & conditions.

One last question? I live in Southern Ontario. Are the pads that you pictured suitable....obviously I’m not a mechanic. Lol
And if not what should I be looking for. My mechanic that told me the pads should be replaced went to source the parts but could not order was told that they were dealer only.....so what should I be researching?

That’s a hard question, I live in Sydney so it’s a different environment & climate.
I’m sure some of our Canadian members here can point you in the right direction for a correct pad selection to suit.
Look through the brake section in this forum there has been a ton of stuff written about pads as well.

You can also try Raptor Racing or Uniq Performance, they are both located in Toronto

Saw JRP today, they are like me in Mississauga, ordered the above EBC rear pads. A little cheaper than Tdot. Expected to have them by next week.

Thanks wish I’d had your message last week. Ordered the EBC pads through TDot. They told me the front pads are 3 weeks behind. I have yet to get a shipping detail on the rear pads that are in stock.
According to an employee from TDot the pads come from Las Vegas. I would have preferred a local supply.

I have noticed Uniq performance are definitely cheaper than Tdot, but I did have good customer service will Tdot

Let me know when you get them. I ordered the pads through TDot on Friday. So far have had no email updates regarding shipping. When I communicated with TDot they told me that Fronts would take 3 weeks but rears were in stock I asked where they were coming from they told me straight from Las Vegas.

I will keep Uniq in mind. TDot communicated very well on Friday when I placed the order to be fair to them.
