Cool. You did it!I just joined the Utah Stinger Owners club. GT2 -- White with light grey interior. Bought it out of state and drove it home over the weekend. Live in Utah County. Such a fun car to drive!!
I'm more interested in a Stinger meet. And we could do a meet and a drive when spring has opened the high mountain passes (Empire, Alpine Loop, Hwy 65, Guardsman, you know …). We have a local "cars and coffee"? I never heard.is anyone planning on doing cars and coffee on March 1st?
Oh, Sunday morning. Nope.Krispy Kreme Doughnuts off 106 south
March 1st from 8am to 11am
Utah Weekend Car Meets fb page posted it
This will be my first "organized" event, so we'll see if it's worth while. If nothing else it's a way to network with more local car enthusiasts. Maybe I'll be the only Stringer there... Hope I make a good impression![]()
And all the roads lead to some overlook or another.I don't know if anyone is interested in a road trip to south east Utah. There are 2 really good roads down by moab.
Utah Stinger buddies,
How has your luck been getting a Kia dealer to fix the "brake shudder issue" common with our cars? Mine started at about 11k miles, but it comes and goes. It goes in for service at Doug Smith next week but I wanted to see if anyone had any trouble getting Kia to take care of it under warranty.
Any horror stories? Any dealer recommendations?
THANKS
90K??? Wow! What year do you have?I had the brake shudder at 12,000 miles and Doug Smith turned the rotors, 3 months later it came back and they replaced my rotors and changed the pads to after market. I now have 90,000 miles on my Stinger with no more problems
How was the resale value? Did you find it fair or did it depreciate quite a bit?Welp, sold the Stinger yesterday. Not too sad about it, surprisingly. It was fun while I had it, but I've only filled the tank once since April, and I couldn't justify the cost anymore. I'm not as much of a car guy as I thought I was, tbh.
I will say though, when it comes time to pick up a new car, a used Stinger will definitely be at the top of the list.
Side note - Selling a set of winter tires/rims if anyone in Utah needs them!

It wasn't too bad. I paid 33ish, sold it for 24, after 2.5 years and 28k miles. Ended up being 1.5k in the positive. Not paying retail up front really saved it though. How was the resale value? Did you find it fair or did it depreciate quite a bit?

Saved this pic for my calendar options folder; sort of a memento as well. I've enjoyed thinking of a Micro Blue sitting somewhere in eastern Utah.
