I like to get my local mechanic to put some nice Mobil 1 oil instead of unknown oil that Kia dealership would use.
I've been looking for engine oil filter but it seems like the one from Kia is the only option?
I hope this is not true...
I wish 3.3 used canister type to take advantage of nice engine oil + filter deals from Advance Auto which I used to get for my previous car..
Please let me know if there are other filters that would work with 3.3 engine.

I believe the only other filter cartridge available for the 3.3L is made by Wix.

I’ve been checking almost monthly for about a year and still no options. Oem filters at my Kia dealer are 12 dollars I believe but the dealership is an hour from my house. It’s annoying having to drive that far for a filter.

we may be out of luck... this engine isn't new, it's been around since 2016 for Genesis G90 and G80. G70 also started using the engine in 2018.
I don't know why they decided not to use more common types of filters

Rockauto has wix around $8 including shipping

Did you check with the dealer on what oil they use? The service dept only uses Mobil 1 for Stingers here. Pricing was decent too.

My dealer used Total oil for my initial change, which is what came in the the car from the factory, and is also the 'recommended' brand in my owner's manual. They may not be as as well known in North America, but Total is a huge multinational oil & gas company that has been around for a very long time. I wouldn't have any concerns about using their oil.

I checked with dealership in MI and they use synthetic oil from Kia. Not sure what that means. And the cost is $75

Well for starters Kia does not make lubricants. They hired Total to provide their engines with the required lubricants. Unfortunately Total is not readily available in the US, so most likely the dealer is using a synthetic blend oil (like most do). You are better off doing it on your own or paying someone to change it for you, but you provide the parts and oil.

I'm in the same boat. I want to do my first oil change on my 2020 Stinger GT and can't find any aftermarket oil filters other than Wix, which really sucks because I like to have options. I'm calling Mobil 1 and Fram next week to inquire.

Does anyone know how the Wix oil filter compares to the Kia OEM oil filter?

I posted some pics way back when. Mahle has paper end caps that seal via crush, Wix has plastic end caps with o-rings. I didn't bother to measure material or anything.
Both are high quality filters.
Desiring a Fram filter is an ..... interesting choice.

After a lot of research, I only found three oil filters for the 3.3L Turbo engine: (that I know of thus far)

Kia OEM 26320-3LTA0
Wix WL10237
Purolator L39175

Anyone have opinions on which one I should use for my first oil change? Are there any others that I haven't found?

does anyone know the particulate size for these other filters?

I buy my filters from Napa. They are the Wix filters, but are sold under the Napa Gold name. They work great, never had an issue. I prefer these to the OEM filters because the end caps are plastic with o-ring seals and not felt.

I only with the car had a canister filter instead of this messy cartridge style.

I found Total Quartz ineo long life in two 5 quart jugs on Amazon. The filter was also on Amazon I believe- ordered both a couple months ago- the filter is called "Premium Guard Extended Life Oil Filter"....

Wix and Mann are the 2 I've found. Napa sells Mann filters (same that goes in VAG cars.) Also switch to mobil1 or castrol edge max. It reduced the ticking on cold startup for me

I want to make sure but they should also fit 2021 stinger 3.3L V6?
