Howdy, newbie here, so maybe I've missed this elsewhere, but is there a thread that helps prospective buyers understand the interior/exterior/model/region matrix? For instance, I'm looking for a 2020 GT1 in Panthera (Dark grey) with the black/red interior. I've seen pics of a Canadian version, but have yet to see one in the US.

If it hasn't been done already, it might be helpful to have stickied as part of the buying thread. For instance, can you buy a Dark blue with the red interior? Perhaps its not needed if all colors are available in all models in all regions (with some obvious exceptions like the orange drift model), but it seems like they only made certain combinations.

Seems like this might help keep the one-off threads down.

Thoughts?

Panthera metal with red interior is new for 2021 in the USA but was available in Canada from the beginning.

That's very helpful, and explains why I can't find one, thank you. You Canadians got all the good stuff - LSD on AWD, nice color combinations, UVO that actually does something. I guess the US is not a big enough market or doesn't spend money on cars.

Anyone know what colors the red interior is available on? I have yet to see it on a dark blue. Does anyone know if the dark blue only comes in a brown interior?

If this thread gets enough traction I'll start plugging the data into a matrix

Canadian market for cars is really small and is most of the time driven by USA needs. For example the VW Golf is a major hit here but is discountinued because there is not enough demand in the USA...

For the KIA Stinger I guess we have been lucky. The only thing we miss on our Stinger is the Ghost Grey / Red interior combo (only available in 2019 with the 20th anniversary edition) and front parking sensors. In fact we also miss the Indigo special edition.

For the combo all colors can be had in black but RED interior is only available on highest trim (GT LIMITED) with the exterior Black, Dark Grey and White .

The "dark blue" I presume you mean to be Indigo. In the US it (so far) is only a special or limited color; only 500, and all have the brown interior and different wheels.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
It seems the only indigo Blue Special editions I've seen (in the USA) come with the Sun and Sound package on a GT, which puts them in between the GT and GT1 nicely and splits the gap in price. The most major thing lacking seems to be active suspension.

don't forget the d-awd and mechanical lsd, which is what sold us on the indigo.

Wait, this could be really important, let me make sure I have this correct:
-My understanding is that the normal AWD in the US has an open differential, correct?
-You're saying the special edition Indigo package has a LSD?

That could change a lot for me.

yes, the indigo edition gets the gts d-awd and mechanical lsd.

Why not just use the build option on kia website?

There were some 2019 RWD GT2s with Panthera Metal exterior and White or light interior. I snagged one because I couldn’t get my first choice(Panthera with Red) at the time.

The US version is mildly infuriating. but I just tried it again this evening and it appears to at least be working. Using the build tool it says the panthera/red combo is available, but if you search by inventory, it appears that combo wasn't available. I also can't see how to add LSD to the build. Makes it hard to trust the website.

The main reason I was headed for a GT1 was active suspension, but knowing this might change my mind. Hmmm. Do you have the brown interior? Any regrets?

Damn, that's a sharp paint color, and seems like a rare interior color. Beautiful, I dig the wheels.

Thanks. The dealership I got mine from had three identical cars just like this in a row on the lot. It was supposed to be rare but for some reason my dealer got a bunch of them in.

The brown is the only option with the indigo. Imo, the brown looks much much better in real life than pictures . The faux alcantera headliner is nice as well. No regrets. The suspension is setup with good balance of firmness and comfort. To me , the d-awd and lsd was more important than rain sending wipers , adaptive cruise etc. So if it is the tech you want more than awd with LSD I would go for gt1+

VipeBoy - This is really helpful, the only real reason I was moving to the GT1 was for the active suspension, but I drove them back to back and honestly couldn't tell the difference. The limited slip and a relay/disconnect on the awd circuit might be more of the difference I was looking for in my driving experience. I'd prefer less tech, however the added gauge information would be nice. Ah more decisions. Need to go research the value of the active suspension.

Thanks for all the input everyone.

I have the ceramic silver with the red interior and I love it.
this is the way. There was like no red interior with RWD near me when I was looking. Only black, and I was not a fan of black.
