Hey guys I know this has been asked a few times in the past but anyone know what price I should expect for a 2020 GT1 AWD?

Went to the dealer today and the closest one is about 300mi away in Missouri (I'm in Illinois). They have it listed for $40,000. It had $3,000 kia cash and $6000 dealer discount. My local dealer said they couldn't come anywhere near that price. I am going to contact the further dealer to get more info but is $40,000 before tax an obtainable price?

I haven't been on these forums long, but $40K before taxes for a GT1 does not seem like a great deal to me. I would be shooting for $40K total (after taxes and fess) for a GT2. But I don't know, lets see what others think.

I am also in Missouri. When I was shopping late last year for a 2019, I spent weeks looking for a 2019 GT1 AWD. The $40,000 before taxes price point was as low as I could find across the country, with the rare exception of some blue color models that had trouble selling. No dealer would BUDGE below that and believe me, I tried. We had to have our black GT1 AWD shipped in from North Carolina, since the local prices were a bit crazier.

20% savings from MSRP on a new car is far above the normal and anything above that would be a welcomed surprise, in my opinion. Key word: surprise :)

Another helpful note. AWD models will normally be more expensive from dealers located in markets that see snow/ice. This was just my experience when shopping around the country. You may have better luck in shopping in the southern states.

That’s a very good price for the Midwest

The dealer discount is twice "Kia Cash"? That looks wrong. I thought that lease incentives were higher than $3K. Or is "Kia Cash" something different?

My dealer discount was c. 6.5%: I didn't dicker. The lease incentive was twice that. The adjusted capitalized cost was $39,507. (I have a GT1 AWD MY18)

It sounds like Op is financing and I just looked, Kia offers $3k cash to finance with them. Just like when I bought mine back in (March 2019). For reference Op, my 2019 Stinger GT1 Awd was 42k before tax financed through Kia, so 40k doesn’t sound like a bad deal at all, that is if you are financing. If you are doing the lease buyout that’s another thing, that I’m not an expert on.

Sounds about right. I got my gt1 awd 1 month ago. Lowest financing they would go was 41k and some change. I did lease buyout, and my adjusted capital cost was $39,800, but i have a better rate through my financial institution than i could have got through kia and for longer term.

Purchased at 2020 Stinger GT1 AWD from a dealer in Atlanta a month ago. I live about 2 hours away but I called and asked for $5000 (basically 10 percent) off the sticker which they did, plus I got $5000 in Kia incentives. However, the dealer had not only a $699 dealer fee but $475 for a tag/registration fee which I find excessive. They were the only one with a Micro Blue GT1 like I wanted in the area at the time and I was able to do everything over the phone (something that was impossible with the other dealers in my area), essentially showing up and driving off with the car. I felt like the ease of the transaction was worth not haggling any further over the price.

Target RWD models in heavily snowed states. I bought my 18 GT1 RWD from Utah in the winter for $34500 fresh off the lot....and that was 6 months after the stinger was released...I payed my taxes separate at dmv. Vehicle had full tint, paint protection and shadowmark ( stupid vin etching) if not for those additional products on the car I'm sure I could have gotten another $1000 off. Best of all....I did it all over the phone, overnighted the documents to me and I flew in and spent 15 mins at the dealership. This was jerry seiner Kia utah. I have tier 1 credit but they tried to make their money back on the financing at a rate of 3.9% @ 66 mos....I quickly refinanced a few months later for 2.7%.

Best of luck on your search...anything less than $5k below msrp walk away. My deal may have been a bit of a unicorn. I still can't believe what I paid for such a magnificent vehicle.
