Most likely a super silly question, but as someone who knows very little about cars it'll help a lot. I realised that talking to a lot of Kia Stinger owners, a lot of us use to play tons of games, or like I, still play a lot of games when I have some spare time. When playing certain games, you can always Google a tutorial on a build guide, or an upgrade guide. In short, it's a guide that tells you the "better way" to upgrade your character. Start with A, move to B, and finally C.

I was wondering if something like this might be available for Kia Stinger that gives you an order of what you should upgrade first if you are looking for performance? I understand that you can just buy a JB4 and a call it a day. However, I'm sure that purchasing parts before the JB4 (like an intercooler, pipes, etc.) might be more beneficial in the long term.

So my question is, what should be the first mod, second mod, etc.

All ideas and thoughts are welcome :) I tried Googling it and finding one specific for Kia Stinger, but no luck. Of course, one might say, "mod whatever you feel is right", but I feel like there is still a priority list that should be followed by newbies.

If you want power first it's intake, exhaust, and tune(with plugs). Tune can be JB4 or tork. At this point your pretty much committed.
If you still want more it's meth injection and intercooler and a more aggressive map/tune.
Some people start with useless things like mids without doing anything else.

Hey! Thank you for letting me know!

So while searching online, here is what I found in no particular order. In your opinion, what order should this go when we talk about the Kia Stinger? Or anyone else that has a few spare minutes and wants to put this an an order then think works best :)

• Tires / Wheels
• ECU Tune
• Shocks and Springs or Coilovers
• Sway Bars
• Air Intake
• Exhaust
• Strut Tower Brace
• Rear Diffuser ( ? )
• Spark Plugs
• Brakes
• Chasis Braces / Alignment Kits
• Turbo Upgrade
• Intercooler

And if I missed anything, please add it :)

Previous post still stands. Wheels and tires are for suspension mods list.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

How come you didn't mention intercooler? Or not important?

Intercooler depends a bit on your use case. It can help in certain situations, but you wouldn't notice much in others. Stock intercooler is pretty good, AFAIK. You can always get better, but it's not the highest bang-for-buck on this car..

But don't you need it if you are doing all the other upgrades to make sure it doesn't heat as much?

I'm not an expert on exactly when it can help. It can lower input temps / decrease pressure drop. But WMI is probably more bang-for-buck, but more of a pain, since you have to keep feeding it. If you're doing ALL the bolt-ons, yes, intercooler is probably in there. If you're just doing intakes + jb4, unless you are getting heat soak, it's not a "must have". I'm thinking of doing some track stuff, and my guess is I'll need an oil cooler before I *NEED* an intercooler.
