Hi all. New to the forum. Driving a 2020 Stinger GT AWD. Considering the JB4. I have a very simple question. What is the HP increase from just installing the JB4 alone? No other performance enhancing components.
Just what comes in the JB4 package. Will be running on the highest octane fuel one can purchase at any gas station and running the most "agressive" map on the JB4. Car will be in Sport mode as well. Thanks.

Enough to notice a big difference.

You will need at least the Denso spark plugs to go along with the JB4.

With 93 octane gas, you should be able to map 2 no problem.

Map 2 is a significant increase in performance and you will easily notice it. Hp gain is probably about 40 to 50 but Tq is about 80 to 90.

You can try a 30% e85 mixed with 93 octane and try map 3. I found for my car, I couldn't really notice much of a difference with map 3 powerwise. It significantly dropped my gas mileage however.

I don't have HP numbers but I do have time slips. Best 1/4 in my AWD GT2 was 12.93 at 108 mph and those were pretty consistent. After the JB4 install and running just MAP1, I ran a 12.64 at 112 mph. That's .5 sec with just 4 additional psi of boost. I have runs using MAPs 2-3-and 4. Best so far was 12.46 with just E85. Tonight is another test and tune and I've added Meth, and the BMS Brake snip. I think I'll break into the 11's.

Thanks all for the info! Really appreciate it.

Glad that someone else asked this... I was also considering just a jb4 without intakes Tama because with the extended warranty that I bought I didn't want to have to deal with the hassle of taking off the intakes every time I brought it into the dealership.

Intakes are good for a bit of power, but mainly on the high end (high rpm). In exchange, you lose a bit of torque down low, generally. So unless you do a lot of redline runs (such as at the drag strip), you might actually like the OEM intakes better for around town. Everything's a trade-off..

Intakes wont void your warranty. I asked the service manager the day I bought it. A modification has to cause a failure. Intakes dont induce any strain that will hurt anything. My car has been back for two oil changes and a yearly inspection. The service manager always comes out to BS with me about mods because he bought one and is doing the same things.

I know that *technically speaking* it shouldn't void your warranty, but that doesn't mean dealerships won't try to use it as an excuse to fight people on warranty claims.

BMS intakes go on and off really easily as they reuse the factory airbox. 5-10 min swap. :)

New member here. Bought my Stinger 2 weeks ago and looking to put the JB4 tune but want everything else completely stock so I don't have any warranty issues. Anyone dyno'd your Stinger with just a tune with E30? Just curious what the numbers would be. Are people happy with the Denzos or should I be looking at something else? Any advice for a new member would be appreciated. Thanks.

With just the tuner alone I think you're looking at around a 50 HP increase give or take, running on 93 octane but I could be wrong. I had the same question. Not sure what the increase would be running on E30.

Appreciate the reply brother. Just want to figure out if the JB4 is worth the money if I'm only doing plugs as the mod. Id need to see a significant increase to purchase this tune. Thanks again.

To get the big 100 HP bump Burger Motorsport touts, you'll need to spend hundreds more in additional mods. If I'm wrong, someone please correct me.

I picked up .7 0-60 with bms intakes on map2 with fringe 91 octane....it makes great power gains in hp and torque with correct fuel. Best mod I’ve done since the zex kit on my HCI 331 mustang.

Seen some vids of guys running new plugs, BMS intake and E30 with a map 5 tune making +100 whp and +100 wtq. Insane numbers!

Yeah, intakes will run you about $300 + though.

The biggest restriction for us WestCoast CDN’s is octane. You can do all the mods but you need to be able to give them the fuel they need to perform. JB4 (lower maps), plugs and intake on Shell 91 will give you a noticeable increase. I’m going to add WMI to solve the octane issue. What part of Van you around?
