It's a clearance thing mostly; if you're really comfortable under a vehicle go for it but IMO it's worth an hour of labor or less for a shop to do them.Just out of curiosity, why wouldn't you attempt the secondaries yourself?
It's the part of the secondary that connects to the primary that will be difficult. It's pretty far up there and my exhaust had rust on some of the bolts. If you're in the rust belt that's another thing to think about.
