So, just finished installing my JB4 with fuel wires and OBDII. Took it for a slow drive around the neighborhood, and noticed that each shift was slightly delayed followed by a very hard gear change. Checked all connections and everything is connected correctly. Firmware is 21/16//5. Has anyone experienced this problem, or does anyone have a solve for what would cause this? Combined log attached. I have uninstalled from the car until I can figure out what is causing the hard shifts.
Thanks!

Not many shifts to look at here but update to latest v19 firmware, give it a little time to adapt, and then evaluate/log.

Thanks, Terry. I didn’t want to drive it too much and abuse the transmission if there was something going on that I needed to be worried about. I will update the firmware and see if it sorts itself out. Again thank you for the quick response!

Im interested in how you got 19.2 pounds in Map 1!? I barely scrape that in Map2. My average in Map1 is around 16.5.....
My guess is elevation or temp...

I'm having the same issue ...Did you get the issue resolved sir?

Hi Terry just bought a jb4 from you guys and I'm having issues with very rough shifting after install. I own a 2019 genesis g80 sport 3.3L. The shift is leggy and jumpy.. any previous experience and knowledge on how I can fix this? Thanks in advance

Did you guys experiencing these hard shifts disconnect your battery during the JB4 install?

I don't think the JB4 has anything to do with the tcu. I'm not sure how it would cause rough shifting.

If you disconnected your battery when you installed the jb4 then it sometimes takes the tcu some time to relearn and it will shift hard for a bit. That doesn't have anything to do with the jb4 though.

If you need tuning help email me a log and I can check it out. Shifts should be as smooth as factory if its working properly. terry@burgertuning.com

I agree, if you disconnected the battery, the shifts might feel different for a while.
