Amazing pics as usual Merlin, the first pic is pretty with the wildflowers in the foregroundWent to the high Uinta mountains. Weather was perfection (no sudden rain/thunder storms manifested). It was a good 25F cooler than in the Valley. Up on the end of Murdock mountain and in Bald pass below it was in the 60s.
The rocky slopes of Murdock mountain defeated we two 67 year-old hikers. Hah. I had my Leki hiking sticks, but my friend only had his two legs (four legs good, two legs bad). I could have gone up but coming back down would have been no fun at all, even with sticks.
The short season of Alpine flowers in a meadow; the slope of Murdock mountain; Bald mountain; more flowers.

My car is dead center, with the flank of Bald mountain looming above; self explanatory.

So, we abandoned that goal (top of Murdock will have to wait, indefinitely) and drove down to see Washington lake and the vicinity. The only pic I took of that area was my car.
