Quoting 101

Hey! If you're not getting "quoting" right - don't feel bad! You're not alone. I've been going in and helping people for a while now - and I really don't mind. My only fear is that as things get busier - and they have been - I'm afraid I'll miss more and more messages where people are replying to others - but their messages are never seen.

So I put together this little tutorial, if you will, to show what I mean by posting OUTSIDE the QUOTE tags... If you have ANY questions at all - please don't hesitate to ask! That's what I'm here for!

One of your posts didn't "appear" because what you typed got caught in the "quote" of the message you were responding to. This typically happens if you're really fast and beat the system to presenting the text quickly enough. So you're a quick typer, I assume. Just take a quick gander at the text you type before you click submit just to be sure everything looks okay. The system is usually quick to respond but depending on various factors, it could be slower at times...
