End of MayDefinitely a possibility, when are you expecting yours?

Agreed, I would like to know too I did not realise your input to this forum went back to beginning. I made the mistake of assuming by the number of posts you had that you had been around less time. Lesson learnt there! You should write more mate! All good mate, it was more of a reach out for other early buyers. As the first shipment began in Queensland and continued down the cost I’d expect mine wasn’t the first received but the deposits placed still have me intrigued.
That must feel like an eternity away, but trust me when I say it’s worth it. My wait was from January to October and amongst was a lot of unknowns including specs, prices ect and I think I aged 5 years in that time.End of May
The whole process of this car from conception, pre-release and finally receiving it has been an exhausting roller coaster. This forum has been a true friend in those times as I was able to pick other members brains and share experiences and thoughts.Agreed, I would like to know too I did not realise your input to this forum went back to beginning. Cheers mate, she sought of sees it the same way but I also give the car lots of love so that leaves little time for herSpoken by a true enthusiast....love it! Jan to oct wow what a wait! My wife loves me being on the forum as it keeps me out of her hair!
Glad to hear you beat that, I went through a similar thing but at the other end of my body in 2015, yes life changing & like you this car is part of the therapy, life is too short, 40+ years of working I deserve to splurge now.The car is actually a recovery from cancer present to myself. I had a low resection of my bowel/ rectum in May last year after they found cancer. They caught it early and 6 months of chemo and radio therapy has ended up me beating it. Having further surgery in April to remove the temporary ileostomy bag and I should be able to be back to nearly normal after my guts gets back into rhythm. I had no family history and no symptoms and it was my first colonoscopy that uncovered the cancer, lucky I went and had it done at 55.
It makes you appreciate that you must live life to its fullest so I made the splurge and bought the car with cash. If you have not had a colonoscopy yet get one done to avoid what I had to endure. The test you do in the mail at 50 is useless to determine cancer.
Wow, that really hits home for me. My mum past away last February to the horrid thing after it represented itself after a 5 year absence. Originally bowel and later liver. Same sought of treatment with no previous family history. I can’t stress enough that YOU are in control and be vigilant. The car is actually a recovery from cancer present to myself. Hey there, i was sent the test via the mail, i didn't use it, so is it really useless ?The test you do in the mail at 50 is useless to determine cancer.
Yep. You need to have a endoscopy colonoscopy.Hey there, i was sent the test via the mail, i didn't use it, so is it really useless ?
Thanx for the advice, im gonna write " endoscopy colonoscopy " for my records, so i know exactly what it's called, and what i need to ask my doctor, and maybe i can research it online. Appreciate the help. And don’t let the dr convince you otherwise.
Saw an article months ago about a chap in Melbourne who had a micro blue Stinger he may have been reciepient number 2. This chap got in very early after viewing that American footage. My curiosity got the better of me and I went back into the Australian Pre Release forum looking for the people that had deposits before me and found that App Master had a deposit on the 20th of January 2017 but unfortunately didn't go through with his order and I wasn't able to find any other.
By no means I want to rain on Sting's parade but he said on the 18th of October when he picked up his car that his deposit was placed on the 13th of February.
The first I've seen on this forum to pick up a car was @sticks on the 11th of October and I picked mine up on the 13th of October. I'm not sure how it has all happened for Sting but hope he can make the most of it.
I'm still curious of others that may have picked up their cars or put deposits before those dates.
Yes Marco i remember joining and going back to the start where Kia admin mentions you. You where the first forum member in Oz right? That must feel like an eternity away, but trust me when I say it’s worth it. I’m often around and enjoy reading when I can but just finding time with the work/life balance often stops me short of writing, I’ll try harder.
My wife knows this forum as “my Stinger mates” lol
Yeh I think Sting must of meant first deep chroma blue. Not sure.Saw an article months ago about a chap in Melbourne who had a micro blue Stinger he may have been reciepient number 2. This chap got in very early after viewing that American footage.
So guys, what's the next milestone, the first " 2018 built Stinger " and/or " first 2018 built delivered to a customer "..hahaYeh I think Sting must of meant first deep chroma blue. Not sure.
Yeah a shame we missed Sting at the bbq, he would have been around the next corner. Just reading then about your brush with illnesd sorry to hear that. There often is a common thread here with us mid fifty year olds. I made my mind up to buy the Stinger when a mate got some tragic news. I said bugger this there'll be no more waiting, it really put life into perspective.Yeh I think Sting must of meant first deep chroma blue. Not sure.
Not at all mate. Look in the mirror and say "You deserve this" ... geez i feel like Heather locklear on that commercial when she says " Because you're worth it" ps it also helps to have an understanding wife.Wow, I feel so much better about buying a present for myself with my Stinger (6 weeks away). My expression was "stopping to smell the roses". I appreciate the honesty you guys have shown. I thought I was being a bit selfish in taking the plunge.
