Hi I have this exhaust and installed recently, but I don't think mine came with any exhaust clamps to put over the slip-on connections of the exhaust... Were these supposed to come with the set? Or expected to buy separately?

They should come with 4 clamps. But still it's gonna leak some had them welded to stop the leaking.

Mine came with clamps, and I have no detectable leaks. Needed an air gun though.

Interesting... Mine didn't have any clamps in the box. How did you know they were leaking?
look under the car after you stop driving it, you'll see what i mean where the connections attach it leaks from that area.

you gotta tighten the crap out of them. Mine leaked until I got the impact out. Could see water (condensation) dripping out of the joint.

Yep, same here.

Oh word? Sigh I didnt think this would be the case. What kind of hose clamps should I look to be buying if none were shipped with the exhaust?

It comes with clamps. If you don’t receive them then the seller should get them for you.

Thank you I'll reach out. Should be getting around to installing mine in the coming weeks.

Has anyone else welded or constrained the pipes from moving? (With no cross brace connecting the 2 pipes) I'm assuming if I used exhaust wrap for a snug ID/OD fit to the OEM tips that should stabilize things enough??

Took a short video of my MBRP with Quicksilver silenced midpipes, in case anyone is thinking of going with this setup.

MBRP sound is pretty well known at this point, I don't think these change that, they just turn up the noise a little.
I don't hear any rasp, so those little resonators are probably doing something, but the exhaust can be a little fart-y at that 2000-2300rpm band. They were worse at initial install, but mellowed out after a couple weeks.
Bonus points: they look like cats.

Quicksilver gets a B- for fit. They're close enough that I didn't have to modify anything, but are about 1/4-1/2" shorter than the stock pipes (forcing me to adjust the catback since I had it installed first. No hardware was included, which was frustrating.
They also hang down a bit more than I'd like (they don't scrape, but are definitely the lowest point under my car).

With that said, I'll be keeping them on until I get around to building my own EVC setup.

Sounds very similar to mine, I'm stock down and mids.

Okay so I am new here so I apologize if this has been answered before:
I just had a shop install my MBRP catback with some Ark downpipes today. Sounds pretty good, but has a pretty tinny/raspy noise to it.. not a fan of that. Seems to be most noticeable between 2-3k especially on upshifts. Is this something that can be fixed? I've seen people mention the exhaust wrap on the forums before, or maybe some new tips can solve this?

After market tips. Only/best cure.

Even tips and sound deadening didn't fix this for me and several other people. We just ended up going back to stock midpipes with the MBRP.

thanks! did it solve the problem or just make it better? I like the sound for the most part and don't want to get rid of the Ark's if I don't have to

I don’t notice it with my setup and the oval tips. I did before tips and also with the round ones as they vibrated in the diffuser.
