What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

As promised. All vids were shot in Mexico purely for testing purposes. No animals were harmed during filming but two elderly folks did have the bejesus scared out of them. Shouldn't have been in Mexico anyway

Hasn't been driven in three months, was covered in pollen and dust (lives in a car port), so I broke out the pressure washer and gave her the liquid dust-off. The ceramic certainly makes it easy!

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Painted the brushed aluminum exterior trim pieces. Much prefer them in red. Also decided to do the underhood braces while I was at it. Yeah, I know the rest of the engine compartment is flithy...IMG_3528.webp IMG_3525.webp IMG_3526.webp

I got another wrapping offert today.
Around $3100 to wrap the car in the 2-color foil.

There's alot of performance related things you could do for that money, without voiding the European warranty... I do admit that i'm a fan of two color wraps but I'd want performance first :D

Haha, one step ahead of me then! I would go for intercooler too because with EU fuels we can push past map 3 easilly but it requires a better intercooler.
I am getting a muffler delete tomorrow (and replacing the stock Y 50mm pipes with 63mm) to see how I like that and then next thing is probably the 450 bhp pack before building a custom EVC exhaust at some point on the future :D

The package order isnt done yet. I expect the price go up another ~40% from what i paid sal to make some work-work :D
I would have ordered the red sway bars(?) if sal had it at all.
But now im looking to perhaps get the front and back E's.

Because one wrapper i talked to, said using silicone in the holes might "eat into" the paint.. dunno about this but dunno much about that tho.

Why did you not end up ordering from the UK site I linked a while ago? Since that wouldnt require import tax. My experience with import tax is that it was just +20% but maybe Sweden is different? Could have ordered a few of the pieces from the US based stores if they don't have something in stock.
Regarding sway bars, in day-to-day driving I would never understand the need for them, the only thing you can feel from them would I presume be the stiffness. But when I did take it to the track a few weeks ago, I can definetly understand why they would be required in an environment like that.

iirc. they didnt have "anything" that i was looking for. sort of.
also, in sweden we have import fee, and import tax etc etc this shit ads up. So i expect having to shell out another $400 something when they arrive :/

Oh that's weird that you didn't find it from their homepage, because they have the "450 bhp pack" in stock in separate items, I checked last week and the only thing they didn't have on the webpage was the JB4 BT module but pretty sure that is something they can just get anyway. In Estonias' case the price would be a bit cheaper than the US version but if you have extra taxes in Sweden then the difference would already be quite noticeable.
Also, the oil catch can that is in the US pack is pointless in europe anyway because EU fuels have fuel additives in them (or you can add even seperately every once in a while) to help prevent / reduce potential carbon build up, US fuels are noticeably lower quality so that's why OCC-s are needed. Atleast that is how my friend, who's a Kia warranty tech, explained it to me when I asked him if the OCC was something that I should get.

Not being confrontational here but have you driven a Stinger with aftermarket sway bars? I agree that if you baby your car and never really push it then yeah aftermarket sways aren't necessary and your money would be better spent somewhere else. But lets be honest, If your not pushing this car from time to time then what's the point...you'd be better off with a Lexus. If you drive spirited at all through twisty roads they make a HUGE difference. Installed mine last week and noticed the difference immediately. The only real complaints I had about the car before the sways was the body roll and the rear hopping on bumpy curves. Both were SIGNIFICANTLY reduced...nearly eliminated. There's a reason why numerous members on here say it's their favorite mod to date. To each his own. Install them or don't...makes no difference to me
