I haven’t had my Stinger for to long and it is the newest and fanciest thing I’ve ever owned so I’m trying to figure all this stuff out. I’ve seen where people have said you can use the UVO to set up things like turning on the heated seats/steering wheel with auto start which mine has but I can’t figure out how to do this. I downloaded both KIA apps and I can not find anything on it. Was this removed or do I still not have the right apps? Also it has asked me for a security key number but I don’t know where to find that so I’m uncertain if that has something to do with it or not.

You might need to call them and set it up, if the dealer sent in all the info you should be good though.
Ah so it’s a service you have to pay for? Well that kinda sucks, luckily I don’t live in an area that experiences extremes of hot or cold but it would’ve been neat in the winter and summer.

so if I remote start the car without the Plus package does it not turn any temperature controls on at all?

Im not sure what it is in the US, in Canada its free for five years.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
If it works, you can set the interior temperature, remote start, heated steering wheel (but not seats), lock/unlock doors, honk horn, turn on alarm, hazard lights, and check things like kilometers, find the car via GPS, error messages if there are any. I think that's mostly it.

*Edit for nhcowboy28 ---- The USA got real screwed on that!

That’s kind of weird they excluded the United States from that, Unless certain features are somehow against a safety regulation or automotive regulation/code

Very odd, my guess is it boiled down to contacts with the cell providers, and the bean counters got involved... you guys got the better warranty

As if anyone has leverage over cell networks in Canada! Have you seen the promos for cell phone data rates in the USA? It makes a person want to throw up. Base plans up in Canada are 1GB for about $35-40 month with second tier networks. IIRC USA networks offer nearly unlimited data for around that price, or the used to. I guess that's the joys of higher population density, more people to pay for the towers and network.

True - I was thinking more along the lines it would have been easier to negotiate with 3, than the multitude of US carriers. bean counters was a reference to you can't have a huge warranty, and UVO
but the warranty might also been buying market share

Yeah could be any number of things. A little off topic (although this topic seems pretty much closed - USA does not get this option), but it's crazy the price we pay for our loaded Stingers when you consider the exchange rate and all the extra options we get! Smoking deal here.
