After hours of searching, I could not find a definite answer whether the 2.0 has an amp or not. There isn't one where the GT has it so I decided to take on the task of installing one. Hopefully with these pictures it will help out the next person who wants to tackle this task.

Ground.
IMG_20200423_152818.webp Rear pass door plug. Pull up on the tab and it comes out.
IMG_20200423_162234.webp After pulling the cover where the seat belt goes there is a grey plastic cover (on the mat) that you take off. Under that cover there is the connector for the door. The white and brown wires are the speaker wires. I used those to get a signal for the amp with a line output converter.
IMG_20200423_162243.webp The tap to pull up.
IMG_20200423_163052.webp I put velcro under the amp to hold it in place.
IMG_20200423_181549.webp Sub woofer. Eventually I want to get/make one that fits in the side hold flush. but for the mean time the net holds it in place lol.

Feel free to ask any questions, I'll do my best to help out.

I'm looking to do this tomorrow. My question is what did you tap for the power on signal (blue wire) that goes to the amp. I see your red power and ground, as well as your speaker wire for the signal. What I need is what the blue wire is tied to.

Oh man I completely forgot to mention that. I tapped into a fuse in the trunk. This one has 12 volt with accessory on so the amp only comes on when the car is turned on.IMG_20200512_134502.webp

Yeah man I did it on like my 3rd day with the car lol. I also searched everywhere and couldn't find anything for our 2.0 so I made sure to document how I did it so the next person that searches finds it. Which I guess it worked. Good luck man and if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. I'll do my best to help.

Legendary! Been searching for weeks for a non-HK install and finally found your post, thank you!

Just in case it helps someone in the future, it looks like the driver’s side rear speaker wires are pink and white

This is good to know, has anyone in a 2.0 upgraded to the 8" screen that has also added an amp?

Can anyone tell me what fuse to run my remote wire too? Seems like my amp is staying on. My Stinger doesn't seem to have all the fuses that they have. There's a few that don't come on this trim from what it seems.

Not sure if you know but the battery is in the trunk. Fuse panel on the passenger side also in the trunk. If you scroll up you can see exactly which fuse I used for the remote wire. Works perfectly! (Easiest amp install on any car )It's a 30 amp green fuse.

My car currently doesn't have a fuse in the slot you used. Could i just buy some and pop it in there?

2022 and your post is still kicking ass. I bought a self contained MB Quart sub for my 18, I will install this next week.

Uni you can just shove the wire in that slot, even if there is no fuse there. As long as that slot gets hot when the key is on and cold when the key is off.....You're good. Might want to secure it somehow though. Piece of electrical tape would do the job. just so the wire wont pop out. I might chase my door for those wires tomorrow. My sub will be here next week. This install will take 15 minutes. Great write up, thanks.

Guys the easiest way to tap those wires are with blue T-Taps, super quick and easy, check them out.

Hey man quick question. I have 2018 stinger gt. Regular system not HK. So I basically did the same set up bc I seen it this way on YouTube but on my Stinger it doesn't have the 30amp fuse that u have there or the 15amp fuse at the bottom but one in middle called spare. So this is the thing I tried using the 20amp fuse right next to it bc it's the fuel pump so figured it turned off with the car but the amp won't turn off. So I try the fuse u tried but that 30amp fuse slot doesn't have any metal inside the fuse to make a connection which is weird. Please help if any answers!!!
