Good morning all!

I've been eyeballing the M&S Front Lip and debating whether or not the extra $80ish dollars is worth it for the "Advance" version of the part.

Who has this lip and which version did you go with? How's the overall durability of the Standard?

Also, would any of you advise AGAINST it getting painted? I've been thinking about getting it gloss black... but I'm flip-flopping because I have a feeling I'm going to want to add the side skirts and rear lips as well, and not sure if I'll want to shell out even more dough to have those painted as well

I have the "Advanced" and would highly recommend it over the lessor. The wind pressure coming through the front has been known to take out a few front lips - including my first one, a Stillen. I replaced the Stillen with the M&S and have had zero problems with it. I left mine flat black to match all of the other M&S skirts.

Advanced. Unless you like floping around like a nudist in a hurricane.

Can one of you guys with the advanced post a good picture from the above or sides? I have the standard and honestly thought the only difference was I had to drill my own holes?

I'm sure I could be wrong because I couldn't see a difference besides that.

No problem with my standard though. I DST'd it and used my own bolts/washers/lock washers. Haven't had any issues in a few weeks of high speed/highway driving.

I ended up with the advanced... it's getting painted gloss black right now, but I will be sure to post pictures before I install. From what I could tell, the bottom was just reinforced with a little more plastic. Still have to drill my own holes though. Here's some pictures from ebay:

Ahhh yes now I see. Mine was just all flat on the bottom. It didn't have the little outcroppings or whatever you would call them where each of the bolts would go. I just kind of went at my own discretion with drilling.

That is nicer for install. And I'm sure if you were up north somewhere that would be better to snow plow with in winter with the added thickness.

Fortunately I'm in Florida so I feel good about saving the couple bucks on my standard one.

Wish they had pointed it out better but thank you for the clarification!

Install was not hard at all. We opted to take the bumper off and flip it over to install the lip (I highly recommend this method). Hardest part, and it was not hard at all, was making sure the lip was lined up perfectly.
