I have a 2019 GT. Got it off Carvana and it doesn’t have the upgraded Harmon kardon sound system, doesn’t anyone know if that’s possible for me to buy that system and install it

I mean you can just buy an aftermarket system that could be cheaper and better.

Disregard

Howdy and welcome.

Nine speakers are laid out two in each front door; one in each rear door, subwoofers under both front seats and a central speaker in the dash. The HK has three speakers in each door, the two subs and the central. So, your imagined upgrade would require enormous conversion cosmetics on all four doors. Nobody has done that! And that's just to get the speakers IN the danged car. After that you'd have heaven knows how much wiring and patching into the central receiver. I don't think it can be done. But I'm no electronic geek either.

The GT has the very fine nine speaker factory system. Other than more sound dispersal and some dynamic music settings I don't think that most of the music inside a car is going to be hugely different with factory or HK.

I wouldn't have made the HK a deal breaker, had I known how the nine speakers are laid out; with the two subwoofers under the front seats just like with the HK. And I might have talked myself out of the sunroof (my other deal breaker or "must have") and simply gone with that Sunset Yellow GT after all; but somebody bought the only one the dealer had while I contemplated returning on Monday to buy a Stinger (and I had my mind turned toward that Yellow GT). I found out that the GT didn't have the HK, so I didn't mind much that the Yellow was gone. In your case, unless you are a real audiophile, the factory nine speaker system should be good. A lot of owners on here have it and most have said that it's good enough for them.

are you listening to some kind of lossless audio like a CD? If not, you probably won't notice a difference.

The Stingers don't have CD players so OP is almost certainly not listening to a CD, unless... He's got a CD player plugged into the 3.5mm audio jack.

Having said that though, it doesn't take lossless audio to hear the difference in sound quality between premium audio systems, especially if the source was ripped at a high enough bitrate.
