No and no. Don't use factory struts unless you want to ruin your hood. They apply too much force on the lighter hood. So it's either a broomstick, a carbon fiber broomstick from seibon or the lightweight struts from importshark.

BUMP!!! Seibon has asked us to extend this one more week for anyone still looking for the OEM style hood! The last day to buy is next Friday and then we will be getting all the order in that following Monday. They also stated it will take them 4-6 business days to get them all shipped out.

I asked Strictly Business about their carbon process on Facebook and got this response.

"...we put uv protection in the resin, others to save money use clear coat. If our CF products fade due to sun all you do is buff and polish. Saves money on clear coat."

So that tells me they use board resin. Not as durable over time!

I've started skinning some pieces, so been doing lots of reading. Plus I have a sail boat which has given me a little experience with resins etc. I was sold some board resin got home did more reading on it and took it back the next day. But hey I am by no means a source of top knowledge on the topic. Just muck'in about having a little success and fun.

I talked to John at Tork yesterday. Seibon ships once per week and they should have gone out this week but waiting for confirmation.

"They have not sent us tracking yet but they should be shipping them out any day now. We will send you tracking once we get it.

Yes sorry for the wait on these. Once we got all the finally orders in it was a few days collecting some last minute phone numbers and other information we needed, Then payment to seibon, then they take 7-10 business days to process and get everything ready to ship. They are also only shipping once maybe twice a week if they can but they are running on a limited staff at the moment.

I ordered my shocks from Import Shark and got them in a reasonable time. A week I think. I'm also on the east coast so not sure if that has anything to do with it.
