3.3TT Quicksilver Exhaust Systems

Just read this on their website:
£200 is our pre-order deposit
The total system cost is 690.00 GBP + GBP 100.00 for FedEx delivery so GBP 790.00 is the total price

We are gathering 20 pre-orders to restart manufacture of this system, with enhanced sound and fit.

Upon completion of manufacturer you will receive an invoice for the remaining amount of GBP 590.00

By my figgerin’, that’s is definitely in my price range. About $732.
Only thing I hesitate over is the sound. Already got the secondaries.
Google tells me the full price is closer to $980 USD

The sound is wayyyy better than anything you view on their site.
100% trust me

After the conversion to USD this comes in very close to other popular SS exhausts. What sets this exhaust apart from the others? Is it only a quieter sound over others? I saw a single post a few pages back that it pulls harder than other exhausts, but only saw a single mention of that. I care less about sound and more about performance, but I draw the line at being obnoxious to those around me. GT2 AWD using JB4, plugs, K&N intake.

Just got a dyno sheet from QS and their silenced secondaries are good for 19wtq. This was confirmed by owner who did a seperate dyno test to provide confirmation of results. Quicksilver says that our exhaust is the most restrictive that they have ever seen in a modern sports car
and their system really shines.
This system has a rippled mid pipe which no other system comes close to offering.

I like mine and compared to the other exhausts, it's worth far more than I paid thanks to the discount.

Is it though? It doesn’t fit without modification, it only utilizes 2 of the 4 tips and the manufacturer has already not come through on replacing their defects. Based on that I’d say the discounted price is about right for the value received when you compare it to the other systems on the market.

I’m using MBRP and the Ark pipes as comparison. You can buy both in SS for $1,230 USD shipped. Sourced from Discount Bandit and Khartunerz. It will be louder but fits without modification and uses all four tips.

What specifically about it over others do you like or have noticed?

I got a full SS cat delete and catback system that isn't obnoxiously loud, well constructed (though mine wasn't perfect as has been posted many times before), shipped to my my door in 2 days from London, for $1200USD.

As I have found out, other exhausts require modifying as well, just ask twn2rbo... The number of muffler ports doesn't matter to me: one pipe flowing in, one pipe flowing out. Next. Compare what I paid for this system plus $75 for the fix, to say the price of any other exhaust system out there. Hmmm. Don't forget to get a cat delete.
Sure I wish the system was perfect right out of the box. That's a normal expectation. Yes I was mad and inconvenienced to go to a shop to fix the bend. But I did and yes it took them 15 min to fix it. It took far less time and resources to do that than for QS to fix the issue, send it to me, me to swap out the parts and then send it back to QS. Looking at my invoice, the original price was almost $2500. All things considered, I'm in pretty good shape.

It seems like most, if not all, who have installed the QS system are very satisfied.
And they're making a Supersport version of it, which is to be louder.

Would any if the current QS owners think they're lacking in the sound department?
Do you wish for it to be louder?
Would you be interested to change for the Supersport?

It does fit, but requires some adjustment, extra work to be 100%. And again, any exhaust shop should have no issue with final fitment in place while doing the install. Should they have to? Yes and no. Almost all of our systems are pretty much a drop in installation, almost all. Some I have had to spend an extra 10-15 minutes getting things perfect, albeit, they didn't require heat or cutting, just some extra elbow grease and massaging of brackets/hangers. As far as the functional tailpipes, I understand your dismay, but also know that they would not eliminate the second outlet if there was no benefit to it. Trust me, there is a function to it being blocked off. Would I call this system defective? Absolutely not. Misaligned yes, defective , hell no. I think it is lost that this manufacturer had no obligation to offer us a massive discount, then throw in FREE two day shipping from Europe. Then offer us the same 50% off a brand new system, made SPECIFICALLY for us, and I mean 100% for us, because of me asking for more sound and for better end product.
This discount code is specific to us, not people in Europe, or Australia, US. They do not offer this code to anyone other than our groups, and without us telling someone else about it, they do not get it.

They may have designed this cat back to exit at an angle. I honestly don't know. Simple fix, and take your choice of how they can do it. As I have posted several pictures and video clips on our FB discussion group, explaining how and where it went off track. It is literally 1/2" that caused all the commotion.
The bend at the muffler can be a tighter angle to the center of the car, 1/8"-1/4" and centering the tips is solved.
The brace at the back can also be shorter pulling the axle back closer together when tightened, again, this will help center the tips/tailpipes.
There is no way that any company would ship overseas for free in two days, then if there is an issue, send a call tag or RGA for item to be shipped back, again on their dime, then ship back to the States free. We are talking about $300 in shipping to fix a 50% off, free $123 next or two day shipping exhaust system, that may take 15 minutes to perfect while installing. They are in the business to make money, and we basically are asking them to take a loss on this.
Dont take this the wrong way, but if I use a coupon for 50% off a prime rib, delivered to my door, and it comes without a side or i have to heat it up, then so be it, I am ahead of the game. Also that prime rib tastes unlike anything I could get local. So while it is a big deal considering its close to $900, it really isnt in the long run in my opinion.

Feel free to bash me, as I completely understand the frustration, but remember you have something unlike anybody else, and a little extra effort is probably worth it.

I am completely satisfied, but also will be ordering the new system, just so I can provide real world sound clips and feedback for those who want a more aggressive sound. I mean, it can only get better!

That price above is for the SS MBRP exhaust and SS Ark midpipes. $1,230 shipped. They both fit without modification so you can DIY install and sound fantastic. I’m just saying that the discounted price for the QS exhaust and mids is probably about right based on the utility you receive.

Understood, and noted, but also the seller, not the manufacturer, is offering shipping inside North America, not from overseas. So included in their price, is room to cover their shipping costs. But I get what you are saying.
The price point and shipping in my opinion, far outweigh even an hour of aggravation during install.

Why are we mixing and matching? How about the Ark midpipes with the Ark exhaust? Wouldn't that be better comparison...
MBRP is popular because it's cheap. Price it at $1400 and would people still buy it over the other choices?
Bonus: You're example didn't even come from the same vendor... I literally ordered the full system on a Tuesday afternoon and both boxes were at my doorstep Friday morning. AT NO CHARGE.

Just got this system installed! Sadly, the tips I have are too large an inlet so no tips at the moment. Still, first impressions from the shop to home <2 miles put a smile on my face. With the ARK downpipes, the exhaust is so deep and classy. It is definitely more quiet than the MBRP + ARK. I really want to drive it more but I'll wait on the aftermarket tips to get the best idea of the sound and final fit. The shop who installed it said once they come in they will align the ends for better clearance because right now it's a bit misaligned. Will update soon with a video.

i also run the Ark secondaries, and love the sound

So it really isn't a big deal for them to properly align? Asking for a friend, lol.
