So I got a quote today from a shop near me for wrapping the roof, A-pillar and rear panel above rear window and the antenna. They quoted me $600 for everything. Do you guys think this is reasonable? The shop is pretty well known and I have heard really good things about them. They said they could probably knock off $100 if I take the antenna off myself. Is this something that is worth trying or should I just let them do all the work? Now for the color match, I have the sunroof on my car, will a gloss black match the best or is there a possible wrap that would match better? Thanks.

I had both drip rails, roof, above the rear window, antenna, and rear side reflectors done for $300. So $600 does seem pretty high imo, unless there is something fancy about the a-pillars. Gloss black looks great with the sunroof.

I was originally quoted 620 but talked them down to 500. This was for the roof, antenna, A-pillar and the silver trim above the windows. However, they left the antenna on and wrapped it on the car. Turned out nice but they did have to redo the antenna as the wrap started to lift off a bit. Removing it to wrap would be better. Its also a reputable shop and the work came with a five year warranty so they'll fix whatever. They used 3M glossy black.

That makes me feel better about the quote they gave me. I will have to ask about any warranty though. I'm not sure if they mentioned one. I could probably get it done for $500 then if I manage to take off the antenna myself. Or I just bite the bullet and have the pro's do it.

After looking over these pictures, I like the gloss best. Also, just doing the drip rails, roof between and antenna would make the job considerably less expensive (I believe that @westcoastGT has just those parts done). It looks natural to limit the blackout to that area because it exactly matches the edges of the sunroof.

The only part that is a pain in the arse is the shark fin. Paying to have that done is worth it but I’d never pay more than a couple hundred for that and it’s surrounding roof panel. I would do the rest myself. Actually, I have. Just did silver carbon fiber on the hood and mirrors also.

just paint it, I sanded mine , did 2 coats of primers 3 color coats and 2 coats of clear , looks great !

Just had my whole top done. Roof. A-pillars. Drain rails (they needed to Plastidip them because of the rubber. Antenna. The piece above the hatch glass. 450. So your price is not too crazy.

Price sounds reasonable. The shop that did mine broke the clips holding the headliner to remove the antenna so they ordered replacement clips and paid for it since it was their fault.

It was scary watching the headliner come down....when they thought they were finished, my XM radio didn't work ....I'm like, guys you didn't reattach the antenna did you? Another 15 mins....sigh

Decided the pull the trigger and get it done. Hopefully have it done by the weekend. Thanks for the replies.

I'm taking my car in tomorrow. When I made the appointment yesterday I only mentioned having the roof wrapped. I will see if they can wrap my shark fin antenna, side mirrors, and side fender vents.

Do they need to take the grill off to wrap the grills? If not, might ask to have those done as well.

No, only my antenna through the headliner....
