3.3TT Quicksilver Exhaust Systems

Still waiting for mine to ship but I plan on going to a muffler shop I’ve been using for 20 years to mount it. They will deal with any fitment issue in minutes. I need this to be stealth so the wifey doesn’t find out so I can’t do it at home anyhow.

She'll know the first time you start it up.

Not right is not right.
No rattle.
Yes.
Maybe.
Looks like no, but I haven't asked.

Aside from the fitment issue, how are you liking the exhaust system? You have the QS downpipe as well right?

Still no drone? Is the sound note much better than stock?
Is it much louder than stock once it quites down from cold start?

Yes, I have the silenced downpipe and catback. I do like it, but it's a TT V6 not a Mustang, so your exhaust is not going to scare small children. It is significantly louder than stock in cabin, I have no idea how it sounds outside. The pitch, when on the gas, is a little higher than I was expecting, though it has a good and deep tone at lower rpm. Initially I had some drone, especially around 75mph, but when I slid the passenger side back a little to try to fix the alignment, the drone went away. It is quite nice on the highway.

Just ordered the secondaries. Was waiting for your last comment, Ruff. Hope it works out for you in the end. Now hoping several more people jump on the second group buy!

I'm in the same boat.

I've already ordered the secondary downpipe, and in fact, it's arriving tomorrow!

Waiting for more people to get in on the group buy.

Got the exhaust fixed today... Muffler shop cut and welded the passenger side. Looks pretty good from the outside. Haven't had a chance to get under it to see what they did or take pictures... Yet. But I'm happy it lines up...now.

Unfortunately, I agree. So if you got this exhaust with the discount and your fitment is correct, congratulations! If not, apparently you're on your own, as some others have already done. I just wanted to give Quicksilver a chance to step up before I had someone else fix their production flaw.

Live and learn.
Eric, sent you a message on FB

Sorry that some are having these issues. I feel obligated to help sort thru this mess, since I was the one who turned everyone on to the company. I have several fixes for this fitment issue, and none take more than a few minutes. Before i post the fix, I want to make sure it is 100% and also post pics. But initially found that the brace at the rear that connects both sides is about an inch too long. If installed on the top of the welded brackets, the brace will hit the pipes and when tightened, push them apart. on mine, I cut about 1/4" off either side of the brace, and installed again. This time I installed it under the brackets, and held muffler assemblies together with a strap(they will move a few inches by hand) and retightened. Tips are centered perfectly. Actually better than they were initially. Trust me when I say, I am doing everything I can to make sure everyone is happy and this company can be a great choice for our exhaust needs. That being said, they have agreed to offer two more options for sound preference. Supersport and Supersport +. Louder, and then race car loud for those who prefer that

Are they still offering the deal on the Secondary downpipe?

I'm a "quiet while still getting the free flow of aftermarket" kind of guy, that's what's drawing me to this exhaust in the first place.

No need for supersport here, but I'm sure some will love that.

I am thinking of trying the Supersport myself, just to see the difference. I absolutely love the sound, going 75 yesterday on the highway, radio was on 5 and I could hear it clearly. No drone, not obnoxious loud either. Wife loved the Borla, it was too raspy for me. So we will see how the new mufflers will sound

Yeah I got a msg that said my secondaries would be here tomorrow. And now they are apparently adding two more options for sound. See Post 248.

Mine arrived today, going on Thursday.

Although I do not like my exhaust too loud, especially being in California (limited ton95 db) other sound options looks interesting!

So where are we at as far as the 2nd group buy?

Happy to say that I am much happier now than before. I would recommend that if you are going to have a shop do the install, make it one that's comfortable with custom exhaust work. It should be pretty easy for them to get it sorted if there is an issue.

And a very late thanks to Brian for getting this started in the first place. If it wasn't for you, I would still be...
STOCK EXHAUST.
