I was wonder if anyone else hears the noise when idle at a red light or sitting some where idle in drive. It only happens in drive and with the AC on. It does not happen in N or P even with the AC on. When I hear the noise I put into N and it goes away? I’ll try to get a video of it to see if anyone else has it or hears it. It’s very hard the hear it as I can only hear it when I have the AC on fan speed in 3 bars. If you have the AC higher it’s harder to hear due to the fans. Thanks !

A harmonic, established when the trans is stationary and under load. Your car has a quirk. Hopefully either you'll just get used to it or it will diminish (at least not get louder). :)

So it’s not a bad thing? What exactly does that mean? Thanks so much for the reply too!

"Harmonics" are when a vibration sets up a sympathetic noise in some other part that is not firmly attached, and it hits something else at variable and usually inconsistent speed; it can be a hum, rattle, or whathaveyou. So, my theory in your case, as explained, is that under load the trans is obviously pushing slightly against the drivetrain when not moving, and this vibration is causing something loose, somewhere (could be inside a door panel for all we know), to start vibrating until it makes the "rattle". Any extraneous noises are bad in the sense that, as here, they are noticed and they are annoying. But if you are thinking that something is wrong or going wrong with your trans, I'd not suspect that: unless you start to notice the trans behaving erratically.

Do you have aftermarket intakes or exhaust?
I've had two rattles which only presented when at a stop and in drive.

One was my aftermarket exhaust tips rattling against the bumper (fixed with trimming and a brace).
The other was my cone air filter rattling against the aluminum brace (DIY intakes, temporarily fixed with padding and zip ties).
Might also check that your engine cover is properly plugged into all the little sockets.

You could always have someone hold the brake in drive while you walk around to try and pinpoint the rattle. Or use auto-hold and wheel chocks if you're feeling brave (I take no responsibility if you run yourself over or damage your house/stinger).

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

Had a chirping sound coming from under the car that I could only hear when outside of the car or windows down, it was the rubber part of exhaust bracket that was making the noise. Hope this helps
