Intakes installed please look

Installed my DIY intakes and noticed the intake is touching this metal pipe .. will this become a problem or get too hot ?

That's the condenser hot line I think. The vibration will scratch up your intake. Metal on metal contact is not a good idea.

Those elbows are plastic lol .. I will be taking them back off for now..

Why take them off? Just put a couple strips of double sided take at the contact point. Have you driven with the diy?any thoughts?

Yea I had them all of last summer and liked them ... much cheaper than anything else and nice and loud

I positioned the intske so it wasn't touching and then zip tied it using a large zip tie going underneath the box.

I would try to re-position that OP, this pipe will get very hot ...

why not get the Spectre heatshield and dump the oem box ... honestly it is much better.
