Front Splitter

Installed the Maxton Design USA front splitter today. Uses 14 threaded fasteners. Installation is easy. Quality is great.

The forum won't let me post a picture yet.
Is it the V.2

Yes...that's the one.

looks clean. I prefer the more aggressive ones, like the noak tuning one. I don't know why I like the aggressive look, as I am a mostly passive person. How much did this cost you?

It lists for $289 on their site. I think I got a 10% discount from their Facebook page.

@JakeMate - I have the Maxton splitter (V1 for me), but haven't installed it yet. Doing this in the weekend. Did you need to use the glue during install? No gaps?

Did you take from bumper cover off?

Completed the V1 install a couple weeks ago. I did take the front bumper cover off for the install but only because I used the provided screws that came with nuts and washers that need to be placed on the inside of the bumper. If you have a lift or jack stands, I would leave the bumper on, apply 3m double sided tape along the splitter to prevent gaps for wind to get in and then 10 - 14 self tapping screws to secure it in place after you've lined everything up. It's an easy install!

I did not use any glue or adhesive during the install. No significant gaps. I did not remove the bumper cover. I used ramps and everything was very accessible.

I have ramps, so that's the plan tomorrow (hopefully). I hope the car clears the ramps with the splitter on when I drive back down.

Has anyone bought the Boostec G4 front lip import shark (yikes:whistle:) sells. I like the look of this one it has a CF option and it’s under 500, well not for cdn’s but I guess that’s tough:poop: for us. Pictures on the site are on a car lowered to the b‘jesus would be nice to see it on a more realistic stance.

@shaggystinger and @JakeMate - looks like I won't have enough time to install it today, but have a question for either of you. In the back of the splitter, there's those "nubs" that line up to the bolt spots in the underside of the bumper (see image):IMG_20200405_154617.webp Did either of you make a hole in those nubs and had the bolt go through?

So what exactly is the difference between the V1 and the V2?

The V2 extends out a bit further, I have the V2 as shown below

I think the V2 is one of the nicest looking splitters out there and it looks great on your Stinger:thumbup:. But it never seems to be available in CF for us cdn’s and I’m sorry but I really don’t like the sticker in the middle

I know, wanted the gloss black to match the other gloss black accents on the car, you could try & import CF from Europe.
Yes the sticker is there but funnily enough it does not bother me & I didn’t want to scratch the splitter at the time trying to remove it.
The photo below was taken yesterday so after 15 months installed you can see how well they hold up & maintain their finish.

I think the front splitter really gives it a great look! I see from the last picture you added wheels to it to, those look great are those the Niche M146’s?

Yes. I put a bolt through each "nub" on the splitter.
