Just got an email saying that some models that were advertised saw a big boost in site traffic after the game. Here is a screen shot of the email.

Maybe that's why the guy was plugging me with bogus lease pricing today.

They do that regardless of what ads are on TV...

haha, my threads floating around here somewhere, he was only offering me 19 dollar difference a month on a 10k difference between a GT vs GT1 I checked a few weeks ago.

I feel like those of us on the forums were a family of those "in on the secret" but that now everyone knows!
As enthusiasts...We ALWAYS know before everyone else knows...Or even cares...lol

I saw. I actually put all my personal numbers on the forums in the hopes that it would help people looking to structure a fair deal. Try searching for it if you want to learn more.

With that type of response to the ad we'll see, but big discounts off MSRP (for those in areas lucky enough to have discounts, that is!) are now probably going to be pushed back a bit while Kia dealers field new waves of inquiries....

1) I would like to see the actual numbers. If it went from 1 in the 8 minutes before to 4953 in the 8 minutes after could be a lot different than 1000 before to 40000 after.
2) people looking on cars.com does not necessarily translate to buyers. I imagine if you look at the month of January the stinger had 10s and 10s of thousands of views and 1500 sales.
I don't think the ad will do anything to the price or availability of the car. (Which by the way I thought the ad was dumb, 5 million plus whatever the paid Steven Tyler, and they barely even showed the car.. - no wonder the US buyers are getting boned on the car price. Take out the production price of the ad and the money they spent on Tyler. 5 million for 30 seconds. Even if that ad sells them 5 thousand cars they wouldnt have sold without it, which I highly doubt, that still cost them 1000 per car. Add all the other money in and I bet it's closer to 1500 per car.

I don't take the info seriously. I see it as a quick anecdote to what impact the ads had on interest.

I agree. But keep in mind they are trying to elevate their brand so it's not just about unit sales.
