can someone explain how the point of interest button on the rear view mirror works? Why does it find some stuff but not other stuff? Like a mall...

That's the eject button lol:rofl:

In my girlfriend's 2017 Elantra, it is the button that activates the speech to text, for inputting a potential destination. Only way I know to identify a destination when the car is in motion, at least with Hyundai.

Maybe I need to RTM, but it never seems to find anything useful. Wondering if I am doing it wrong.

Since voice commands go to carplay/siri automatically it's useful to have an override button that bypasses carplay and goes to the Kia system. Although it's beyond me as to why it's on the mirror.

I wonder if you are using Android Auto, or the Apple equivalent, if it removes the function assuming you won't be using built-in Nav in the car.

My current vehicle doesn't have Android Auto so I have never used either. Looking forward to Wednesday.

If Wednesday is the big day, congratulations :-) What did you get?

Waiting for final confirmation of my calculation of lease via the sales/finance manager at the dealership. Crossing fingers. If this simple math problem is correct....

I actually read the manual when I was setting up the HomeLink system for the garage door opener, but the mirror in the manual is different from my car... probably has the US spec mirror in it or something.

The person at the dealership that was giving me a rundown of the car when I took delivery couldn't remember what this button does either.

I have no such buttons as in the picture. I'm in the U.S. Are those on the bottom of the rear view mirror?

It's for an uvo feature the us cars don't have.

It’s anyone outside Canada ... I’ll miss remote start and other app benifits from my Jag.

But then I’ll have RWD and big engine to cheer me up!

No, that button is to launch the ejection seat on those cars with sunroofs (GT's). Non-sunroof cars do not have it. :D
