So after fiddling around with the small amount of adjustment available, the middle vent line on my driver Intake is kinked. Is there enough pressure in this line that a kink will cause issues? Any idea on how to adjust it so it fits better?

Trim it.

My intake is similarly lined up. Didn’t lead to a kink though.

You might be able to loosen all the clamps and twist it into a more neutral position.

I also loosened all the clamps of the hard lines to get the hoses on and then retightened. That might have given me a little extra adjustment as well.

Injen should adjust their jigs a little.

Did you paint the pipes? I like it

Thanks. Yeah, cerakote.

I should have done a bronze wrinkle powdercoat though. All the mandrel tooling marks come through the finish. It doesn’t look bad really, just the small details I pay attention to.

Injen was wise to use a wrinkle finish.

How about a picture of your whole engine bay please. I bet those Injens look great.

I don't think I've seen any of the aftermarket CAIs not need a trim on the hoses. My AEM (and the K&N's I've seen) require a trim of the BOV hoses, not a ton, just like 0.5-0.75 inches.

It will hurt at first, cutting into a perfectly good stock hose, but they are cheap to replace (~$12 USD) if you decide to go back.

For the Injen at least, they supply you with those hoses, so you aren't even trimming a stock hose. The only stock hoses used for Injen are the BOV hoses (which don't need to be trimmed).

I installed the hoses supplied by Injen - no cutting was required and I had no problems with fit.

I did wait until all the connections were made loosely before doing final adjustment of the intake pipes for best fit, then tightening the clamps - I believe they mention that in their installation instructions.

Very straightforward and easy installation - even removed/reinstalled it for a service visit, so I've done it twice. Sounds and looks great, and everything has remained in place and securely fastened. Quality product.
