Has anyone seen any Stingers in the wild?

I finally saw another Stinger today. I77 North around Mooresville, NC. Black GT AWD per the stickers on the car. Older guy who must have been listening to some head banging music for he was seriously going at it when I drove by him.

Today @ 4:30pm in Plantation FL: white with black roof, very clean and beautiful, pulled up behind us and followed us on a left turn through the intersection. We pulled over and waved while he was passing - no reaction.

The question: are Florida Stinger drivers
  • snobs,
  • stuck-up,
  • in-attentive,
  • shy,
  • tired after a day's work or
  • don't recognize a debadged Stinger when she's right in front of them???
BTW, that's the only one we saw during our 2,500 +km drive in the past 72 hours.
Oh this was totally me. I remember this vividly. I just didn't know why you pulled right so quickly and thought you were slightly annoyed I made an effort to stay close for three or so intersections...
Well....hi!

Saw my first blue one and 3rd Stinger ever on my way back from Atlanta to Detroit. Saw it on I75 crossing the bridge between Covington and Cincinnati. Not sure if I saw the passenger or what, but it may have been a girl driving.

They definitely saw my car because they threw the flashers on.

Well done you made 'Ace only the second one to do so in one day. I also obtained 6 as you might recall it was in your neck of the woods.

Swagged Dodger Stinger GT on 10 eastbound from DTLA
You can't get more L.A. than that picture, right down the the Times plant in the background and the palm trees in the rear view mirror! Great catch!

Saw my first Yellow on the road today.

Was talking with a friend late this afternoon outside the slot car racing emporium, camera in hand, and along comes a Ceramic Silver. I got lucky. Second shot with it going away also caught a good example of the typical pedestrian traffic that frequents that part of town.

I did spot two Stingers today, but not in the wild, stopped by a Kia dealership in Fawkner, here in Melbourne early this afternoon, they had a Micro Blue GT and a Neon Orange GT in the showroom.

0310pm Ceramic grey coming up the hill on Old Bathurst Rd Emu Heights. Saw two Stingers last time I came out onto the main road as well , not a surprise anymore it seems to be Stinger central.
In dullish light the ceramic grey looked superb it had this glossy wet look set off by the black sunroof. It's the view you get from being elevated.

Ceramic Silver is the most subtle of the colors; in some angles of light it is almost as pale as Silky Silver, and other times it is more than halfway to being as dark as Panthera Metal.:)

A DCB drove past my shop today about 11.15. As I was looking at it, bugger me if he doesn’t do a U turn, park it and come in and order a hamburger. I let him finish his lunch in peace then had a quick chat to him between customers. Like any good Stinger owner he’d already spotted mine in the car park even though it was partially obscured by other vehicles. Nice guy. He had the Bi-modal on his but I never got a chance to ask if he was a member here.

I'm going through withdrawal..haven't had a sighting for over a month:(. Yesterday was a perfect day here...65 and sunny. Everyone had their cars outta hibernation washed and waxed! Saw just about every kind of car you can imagine aside from super cars. Vettes, Porsches, modded american muscle of all kinds, Ms, Ss and even saw a G70 sport:eek:. But zero Stingers. Even though there were beautiful cars everywhere on the road all eyes were on her. Constant stares and people trying to figure out what this beautiful, red, four door sportback thing is they're leering at. Stopped at a light with my sunroof open and noticed a Bimmer filled with 20 somethings slowly pulling up to my right and I hear one of the girls say " What isssss this SEXXXXXYYYYYY ASSSSSSSS CARRRRR???" Whole car was staring at her as they rolled past and turned right. Verrrry few cars attract so much attention...aside from super cars of course...she's queen of the road:thumbup:

So, if you can't spot any Wild Stingers, then BE the Wild Stinger. :D

(I've gone three months at a time between sightings, since my first sighting, over five months in; but lately, I see at least one a month; and super lately, so far this year, I've already seen nine: so, times do change.)
