• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Utah Stingers

I was younger and dumber then.
 What's my excuse, then? I must be experiencing something like Benjamin Button. I have other stories about how this car makes me feel like I'm in some kind of time warp (and I don't mean "Warp Six Mr Sulu" type time warp; but more like that Stephen King short story about the gal driving wildly on the back roads and getting younger each time she does it).

Oh, and this car does not "bounce around" at 110; or even at 155. It stays steady, smooth and quiet no matter how fast it goes. The road must cooperate, that's all.

"Dumber" might have sounded like i was judging you. absolutely not. I'm so thrilled to find folks who feel like I do about go real fast ;)

My only issue so far is I work for the State... and practically every chance I have the car on an open road, a kid is in the car!

Hey utah guys I am looking to get ceramic coating and upgrade my tint. Any suggestions on good installers/detailers in slc? The ceramic prices seem to be all over the place. I am wondering if it's just different products they are using or if some just do it that much better.

Or just charge that much more.

I haven't looked into ceramic or tint. But if/when I do ceramic, I will ask Dave's Body Shop first: because they did the front half of my car's PPF for under a thousand and it is holding up well.

Thats me on the right (old car on the right). I'm in Ut Co, but I work in Sandy so I'm back and forth a lot. Hoping to be up the canyons all winter long!

Looks good in white:thumbup:.

Its always a good time

Howdy, @Dks209 and welcome. I've lost track of how many Utah forum members we are. It's gotta be a dozen at least. Several of us are pretty active too. Of course, I would know that.

Thanks for the welcome! I've been looking into an exhaust upgrade and was wondering if any of you guys have? If so what did you go with? Borla seems a safe bet but I'd like to hear it in person.. i don't want anything too obnoxious. I do plan on gettingnew intakes, etc to support the jb4 tune at some point so it would be part of that progression

Welcome to the Utah hive! You got the color combo I really wanted, so I'm sort of envious.

I haven't done an exhaust upgrade yet but I thought I had read that the Borla is kind of a droning exhaust. Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Well? You didn't say the hood and spoiler are ON, you just said you have them. If they're on, post pics; if not, yet, then how long do you estimate before you have fun mods to take pics of? (how to pass the winter months in relative equanimity: buy stuff for your car: the other way is to clean her each time the weather puts crud down: I consider it a challenge that causes a labor of love:))

Heh, "Guest". Your post showed up after mine, because I didn't see you after I posted, till now. Which "Utahan" are you?

(And could you satisfy my curiosity: you are a signed up forum member, am I right? I see "Guest" posts all over the place and wonder what posting medium they are using, such that they are not signed into the forum with their regular account. Thanks.)

Oops, looks like I replied from my phone without making sure I was logged in :cautious:

Thanks. That clears up a couple of my questions. I suppose that all "Guest" posts from members are because Sal allows casual cellphone postings to go through, and you aren't the only one who forgets (or doesn't bother) to sign in first. I don't like the feature, at all.

Congrats and welcome! It's a blast!

is anyone planning on doing cars and coffee on March 1st?
I'd like to go. When and where? Where do we keep up on these kinds of meets anyway? I'm in a few facebook groups but seems like they're usually a bunch of wanna be ricers...
