GM confirms retirement of Holden brand - Speedcafe
They are selling the Thailand factory, wouldn’t surprise me if they become Great Wall Colorado.Kind of puts an end to the theory they’d scrap Holden and then the dealerships would re brand as Chevrolet given GM has said they’re moving away from RHD models. Also means the end of the Colorado etc which they recently said they were going to sell exclusively and move away from sedans. The RHD Colorado is also very popular under the Chevrolet brand in Thailand where it’s made. Seems stupid to throw away pretty much the only model they’ve been selling consistently well. Kind of makes me glad I went for the Stinger over the VF SS
Beat me to it, just found this article in the Bangkok Post. They’re selling their Thai factory to Great Wall and pulling out all together. They are selling the Thailand factory, wouldn’t surprise me if they become Great Wall Colorado.
Yep, GM is withdrawing from all RHD markets worldwide, so I assume the much hyped RHD Corvette is either dead or will be shipped in as LHD & to be converted to RHD by either the same company doing RAM & Silverado Trucks or more likely Walkinshaw who is currently doing the Camaro.Beat me to it, just found this article in the Bangkok Post. GM to withdraw from Thailand this year
I thought HSV was doing the Camaro and the Silverado. I’m sure I read somewhere some time ago that the RAM was also being done by them but could be wrong.Yep, GM is withdrawing from all RHD markets worldwide, so I assume the much hyped RHD Corvette is either dead or will be shipped in as LHD & to be converted to RHD by either the same company doing RAM & Silverado Trucks or more likely Walkinshaw who is currently doing the Camaro.

The first thing I thought of when I first heard about it on Facebook, John Cadogan will be all over this, guessing by tomorrow sometime, this is the one video he knew was coming, and he is truly going to enjoy making it, like the last nail in the coffin. How long before John Cadogan’s take on this lands? I thought he would have had most of it recorded months ago.
