Hello. Looking at a used 18 Premium. Price is decent, only questionable thing is the condition of the back seats. I attached a few photos the dealer sent. It looks like the previous owner had dogs in the back. There are some scratches and dents in the leather. Also, I’m pretty sure the white stuff in the seat perforations is just dirt. Is this a stay away or can the leather be reconditioned somewhat to look a little better? Thanks for the advice.9679E80F-8ABD-4B0A-9E5C-58B8AC0ACEFA.webp 66B01227-1EA4-4049-BBCF-043F51BE0A4D.webp 7A5C92CA-6A13-40E3-B9F9-8F4117CCF18E.webp

Yikes, I'd say those scratch marks are beyond repair. You'd have to replace the rear seat cushions. If it's a KIA dealership you might have luck asking if they'd replace them and somehow work out a deal including that.

Y’all see an issue.

I see leverage to get a better price.

I will agree on the leverage for a better price but I also will say, they could have cleaned it up a bit. It looks like sand somehow got in the back, it is also on the carpet. If it wasn't n a flood, negotiate fo ra better price and check out some salvage yards for a replacement.

You are buying a used car. Any damage and wear and tear should be reflected in your negotiated purchase price. If you dont like it (the car and the price), then walk away and find another one that you do like.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I drive executives out for lunch. I wouldn't buy that.

You might have kids and dogs, and not be so concerned.

There's no one "correct" answer here.

Me personally, I would pass! I could not stomach looking at that everyday and knowing it was there. I keep my cars in pristine condition and that would definitely be a deal breaker for me.

I would buy it but ask for a huge discount for the damage, you can use some upholstery service or cover the seats with special seat covers.

Geez Freaking Louise! That's ugly. I like the "salvage yard" suggestion, if you are intent on buying at a killer price.

What’s the condition of the rest of the car?

I hate buying someone else's dirt.

Beyond the appearance, what does the car smell like inside?

If it was me, I wouldn't buy it at 25% below wholesale.

Good luck

I haven’t actually been able to see it in person as it’s a state over. Those are just some pics a sales guy sent me when I had some questions about their posted pics online. Leaning towards a stay away and waiting for the next deal.

Find another one. If a guy can't be bothered to take care of the car or even put a towel down then he should have a hard time selling for a decent price. The car is too new to put up with that. Move on.

I have always thought that people who would neglect the seats of a car like this, would also neglect the larger things of the car. Clearly one to steer away from regardless of price because of all the unknowns of whatever else they neglected. Taking car of the car was not a priority for the previous owner.
