Same thing happened @ 12,000 miles for me. Was a broken G sensor as well.
Just wondering if replacing this G sensor fixed the issue. Dealing with this now and dealer is clueless.News, news! The dealer found that the issue would be the G(gravity)-sensor. The control module cannot have the right information from the G-sensor and that's the reason why it cannot adjust the shocks for the sport mode. The G-sensor ( a kind of accelerometer) senses the movements produced by the pavement on the car case and send it to the control unit to adjust the shocks rebound, etc. It's a bit weird to me as IMHO everything is different on the 4 corners. So should we have 4 G-sensors? The part was ordered. We'll see.
yes, it solved the problem for me. And it is only one G-sensor to be replaced.Just wondering if replacing this G sensor fixed the issue. Dealing with this now and dealer is clueless.
My Stinger GT2 has 46k miles and just started getting the error a couple weeks ago. Finally got an appointment with my local dealer. I am an industrial maintenance tech and was impressed by the local dealership service and its tech that worked on my car. It took several hours but he found a bad accelerometer sensor on the driver side front tire. He even showed me the improper voltage that it was sending (.33v). The part is on order. I'll let you know in a couple weeks if this solves the issue.
As a side note, other forums have listed everything from the control module to a loose rear sway bar being the culprit. The suspension on this car is surprisingly sensitive. I also mainly have the problem during colder weather/cold starts. It often goes away during long drives.
Is that a question?Well I hate to say this, but just yesterday the "electronic suspension issue" came up. I called my local kia dealership and they never heard of this issue. But then he said we have not gotten many Stingers. Great I feel confident leaving my car there. My mechanic won't touch it. After reading the posts I gathered it could be the acceleration/ deceleration sensor, or the front sensors or rear sensors, electronic suspension control module, resetting the module?
Can you explain this a little better? How do you mean the suspension control switched to Korean? How did they reset it? I’m on coilovers so I don’t feel any difference in suspension. I am experiencing the sport mode not engaging issue. I want my car back. 2022 with 26k miles.Dealer told me the issue was caused by the suspension control switching to Korean, for no apparent reason. They report that resetting it fixed it. I have not picked the car up yet, but will post more after I do.
You quoted a 4 year old post? Can you explain this a little better? How do you mean the suspension control switched to Korean? How did they reset it? I got a message check electronic suspension. Sport mode doesn’t feel like sport mode. Feels like comfort. No pep. I had another issue once with all my dash lights lit up and forward collision warning not working. It was an abs sensor. Whenever any sensor goes bad in these it affects a lot of other things. You quoted a 4 year old post?
What. Is the "sport mode not engaging issue"?
Which body G sensor did you replace?Find the issue yet? I just had this happen to me 2 weeks ago. Replaced G body sensor. Warning still appeared. Now going replace wheel g-sensor. If that’s not the culprit, going to check ecs module. I’d like to just get to the issue rather than trouble shooting by replacing every ecs part.
