So I've been doing a lot of research on different mods to get for my Kia Stinger GT2 but with so many different options I'm having trouble finding whats best and what I should start with first. I plan on getting a CAI, Exhaust System, Spark Plugs and Tuning it but I'm not sure what the best ones are and in what order I should upgrade in. Also I have a decent budget to work with but nothing too insane. Any advice is wanted please and thank you!

Well that was quite easy! Thanks Terry! :) But still even more advice is welcome!

One and done. :)

So with this increase in horsepower and torque in the vehicle what kind of changes to the 0-60 and top end speed of the car will I see? Will I need to get higher rated tires to withstand this new power and is there anything I will need to be cautious of/know about?

Just curious if you’re using bhp and being extra conservative with you 450hp number?

Your map5 dyno showed 441whp(520bhp) with only intakes using e30 so 450hp is just a fraction of what most people with this setup run on the daily.;)

Wheel horsepower. We've had a few customers exceed 450whp. Of course final numbers depend on the type of dyno, weather, fuel, and how aggressively you want to run the tuning. The same set of mods can also make 250whp on the VALET map for example. :)

Nice and know a few 450whp+ JB4 Stingers myself.

And that’s what I figured since 450bhp is too conservative, but know most people would assume it’s crank hp unless it specifically says wheel hp.

Either way, nice combo and think that will get a lot of attention since people keep posting similar questions like the OP did above.

We'll have to update it a bit there to make it more clear. :)

Hey Stoic,

It's certainly easy to get lost in the abyss of aftermarket parts. I would be glad to offer some insight and direction from my experience but you will find that many people have their own taste and style that best suits them, sort of like buying a pair of shoes. There are many different routes you could take. It often comes down to knowing your desired application of the vehicle and putting a plan together that accommodates your location and driving conditions.

I think a good budget-friendly starting point for achieving a sportier drive from your 3.3tt would be:
1. Injen intakes
2. Borla Exhaust
3. Jb4 with hks plugs
4. Eibach Sway Bars
If you are looking to buy something today or within the next few days, I would encourage you to check out our huge End Of The Year SALE at www.k8stingerstore.com. We are the largest Stinger focused website in the world and this is our biggest sales event of the year.

Intake and exhaust are the most restrictive on the car, so change those first.
Exhaust is personal taste based on sound, so listen to some clips and grab whatever you want.
Downpipes are, IMO, optional. They are worth some more power, but if you understand what the aftermarket is doing you can get those same gains yourself.
Each intake on the market has pros and cons. Some are true cold air, some aren't. Some fit well, some don't. There's plenty of reviews here for each.

After that, do the spark plugs and a tune.
As for tuner, JB4 for a piggyback is miles ahead of everyone else. Tork is leading the way for ECU flash.

I still haven't done any chassis, brake or suspension work. But I have a stack of rotors and pads sitting in a closet, and I expect eibach sway bars in the not-too-distant future.

I’m running K&N Typhoon intakes and plan to grab newly gapped plugs and POSSIBLY the JB4 piggyback kit from BMS soon, still debating because I like customization, but not at the risk of losing my warranty on a relatively new model car and engine.

I’ve run weather seal around the hood to protect my intakes from moisture. Stock exhaust for now since I like the dampened sound, but am considering the Borla S Type exhaust sometime in 2020.

The GT-9 exhaust is valvetronic, so it opens up to be loud, or closes to be silent. Closed sounds as quiet as stock, but deeper. Opened sounds like a less ricey Borla, and not drone.

How do you like the K&N intakes?
How long have you had them?
I’ve only had them a few days and love it. The valves they provide for the sensors are plastic so I’m gonna replace them with sealant and metal valves from auto zone. Also going to wrap the aluminum intakes with reflective gold barrier tape to deflect heat and help with heat soak. Will hopefully post intake temps in the near future.

I like this. I assume since you are in the videos that you have it. Have you posted interior sound videos at varying speeds on the freeway to back up your drone claims? Borla claims the same thing and I want to hear a comparison!

I was planning on that for today and tomorrow. I have been asking around about the format and length of a video like that. I have only made three videos for my YouTube, so I’m still learning what is ideal for the viewer. I considered doing a basic review video during my drive home so y’all can hear my thoughts while “listening” for drone at the same time. What speed or rpm is most notorious for drone?

New kid on the block here...

Been reading everything and it's all great information. But got confused when I went to click on the 450HP Stinger package with all the parts.

Great, 450HP is awesome! But I wanted different Intakes that I found, so I went to go see what the Tune itself would do. The $619 tune itself makes it 462HP.....so I'm better off getting the chip then the package?

Thanks guys!

Offhand, thing the 462hp number includes water meth injection.
