Problem with gas mileage

I am getting worried if my stinger is getting messed up or not..I saw the “miles to empty” and the number was 160miles, when i turned off the car to go into a store and once i came back and turned the car on it said “miles to empty” and the number was 220..
I saw the car’s needle for the gas change while i was in parked..changed from 218 back to 160
Has anyone encountered this problem?

The dealership once’s fixed my car due to a bad fuel pump and it was changing the gas “miles to empty”..giving different numbers when i would turn the car on..
So now i am worried about my stinger
Any advice what can be the problem?
 
I didn't follow that last part. It was doing this before you got your fuel pump changed or started after? Either way it sounds like your float is sticking.
 
Have you ever put a bottle of Techron fuel system cleaner in? Try it the next time you fill up. Might take care of it. Ford used to have a problem like that with their “saddle” tanks in the Mustang. Their fix was run a bottle of Techron and it actually fixed it.

No I have not tried that yet, but i will look into that!

Is the needle in the gauge actually moving or just the miles to empty? In my Jeep the miles until empty was predictive based on your current trip's average MPG so maybe the Stinger works the same

Well it sounds like an issue with the float or the sensor its attached to. Just curious why they didn't fix it when changing your pump because I am pretty sure it is part of the same assembly

I’m not sure bc they told me they fixed the sensor and pump..I’ll probably bring it in to the dealership so they can check it out before anything happens..just to be in the safe side

When i was parked the needle was moving..lowering the “miles to empty”
 
This is not anything hurting your car. It's just sensor/float issues. The Stinger does base "Range" (miles to empty) on average miles per gallon. The other day, my MPG gauge reset itself (does that sometimes when well under 100 Range is left) and showed 48 Range; this was odd because before it reset it showed over 100 Range (not remembering exactly what, just know it was well over 100). We set forth. And my driving was all highway/freeway, and the Range went up to 68 and stayed there for quite a while. Once we had been on surface roads for a minute or so, the Range dropped back down to 48, then showed 43 as it adjusted itself. The return trip to our house was very conservative too, and by the time we pulled into the gas station (almost home) we showed c. 35 Range. So, all told, a c. 55 mile trip went from 48 Range (initial) to 35 Range. This is all very interesting, I am sure, but the point is that the Stinger's "tech" is based on the same old school float and sensor in the gas tank; and they are not exactly big on accuracy or, over time, consistency. If it bugs you enough, you'll go in and have a new system installed. Meanwhile, learn the quirks of your vehicle's fuel system gauges and base real world conditions on what you see and what you trust. Don't be a slave to the gauges, they lie or at least exaggerate either way. :D

It was doing this before my car got messed up so i kinda worried if it’ll mess up again..they fixed the fuel pump last time
 
My Stinger end up messing up once again. Same reason like before the fuel pump gone bad.
Took my car to a different dealership than last time and i was told that the previous dealership did replace no fuel pump. All they did was repaired it.
They told me many time on the phone that they are waiting for parts to change the fuel pump.
Luckily the dealership now is going to change the whole fuel pump and not fix it
