Exciting news for race cars and looks like a clean implementation. But at ~$5k+ for the hardware before you install it or even start tuning, a full stand alone is probably too involved for most here.
This is impressive and will definitely help move our platform to the next level. This should help tuners develop much better hybrid & big turbo options for us and can’t wait to see what they will come up with next.
However I do agree and think $5k+ for this option won’t be logical for the average Stinger owner and will mostly be used for building race cars.
Either way, it’s exciting to see our performance options expanding and can’t wait to see how far we can go!

See the other motec post - apparently they want $7500 AUS for the unit + their adapter kit / programming, which works out to around $5200 US. The base motec unit is ~$3-3.5K, I think, but then, this company also wants to be compensated for their work, which was probably quite extensive.
We have customers who run Motec on other platforms. It's a really solid stand alone system. There are a few Stingers where it might make sense but it's just a really limited subset of cars. To tune Motec you have to be pretty experienced also. They usually just include a base map and you have to take it from there on your own. If paying a tuner to do it for you expect to spend $1000+ in maps too on top of the hardware costs.
It’s $5200 and that’s a highly discounted introductory price. Most likely will go up to $6k+ after the special sale.OFFICIAL MOTEC DISCUSSION THREAD - GROUP BUY DETAILS - KHARTUNERZ
Also keep in mind that’s only with a base stock tune installed and you’ll need to get a tuner to change that or add a higher performance tune, so plan for even more money on top of the $5200.
To make this type of tuning worth the money you’ll want to add hybrid or big turbos and then it will get some serious performance out of our Stingers. Again, this is mostly for race cars and people willing to put another $10k-$20k into mods on their cars.

Yes and no. For those wanting to really take the FBO to the next level it will be well worth it as well. But yes this is really for those that want to go beyond bolt ons.
