Received Dealership Letter to Sell Stinger Back to Them

Hello my fellow Stinger fans,

I received a letter from the dealership I purchased my Stinger from asking if I was willing to sell my car back to them due that someone was looking for my vehicle. I have the Premium and they offered $25k. I have an appointment to go in to talk to them tomorrow and wondering if anyone else has received this and know any details of how this works? Can I get paid cash minus what I owe on the lease? Will they require me to lease or purchase another car from them with this money?

A few details on my purchase in case this helps: My lease ends 12/2020, I owe just under $5k, and residual value is $19k. I plan to turn my car in anyway and buy another car.

It's just a trick dealerships use to get you through the door so they can sell you a new vehicle.

Yeah, just like @Nuthadey said. You have a lease, they won't pay you for a car you haven't bought yet.

THey may allow you to forego the balance of the payments IF you buy another car , I have had up to 6 months of payments offered to lever into a new car ..................but they are BS'ing you that they have a buyer for it
