Hello everyone, Happy Easter.

I feel like everyone is already familiar with the Air Design Kia Stinger GT Federation edition and the TSW Sprint wheels, however, I can't find the offsets.

Those TSW Sprint wheels in a staggered setup are 20x8.5 +30 or +40 in the front, and 20x10+40 in the rear. Most of the conversation I've seen has been around 20x8.5+30 in the front which seems to be very flush.

The Kia Stinger Federation looks like the front wheels are just slightly more inset than this (which I tend to prefer), so I have to assume that the fronts here are the 20x8.5+40's.

Is anyone able to confirm?
Anyone else happen to run 8.5+40's in the front? That would tend to put a similar tire/wheel combination about .5" closer to the suspension from the 19" stock specs.

edit: Attached an annotated image

edit edit: @CoconutRob confirmed with TSW that the Federation is specced with 20x8.5+30 up front

I do. The Watkins are 40 offset in front at 8.5 inches wide. The rear offset is 39 at 9.5 inches wide.

Here are the only pics I've taken so far. Sorry, no hard down the side shots.

Thanks @MerlintheMad , no obvious fitment issues in the front? I expect it’s safe to assume that a 8.5+40 wouldn’t have a problem given that the 9+30’s that I see people running only give about a ¼” more space.

If there is any question about fitment, I don't know about that! Wheel Werks ordered and put them on. I just did a 2K+ miles road trip, and have been driving around on them since mid March. I've had them up to as high as 135 MPH. Smooth as glass.

Thank you @MerlintheMad , also in another thread @CoconutRob confirmed with TSW that the Federation is specced with 20x8.5+30 up front

I just saw a thread saying they are 8.5" and 40mm up front

Yeah, on Kia Stinger dot org, which, every time I try to paste the URL, it gets rewritten to www.stingerforum.org... Are we not allowed to link to the other site? :) Is that totally necessary?

20" TSW Sprint Gloss Gunmetal Wheels
20x8.5 40mm 245/35ZR20 - 20x10 40mm 275/30ZR20

I'm still somewhat inclined to go with the +40 offset up front

Confirmed by stingerhaus

Hey, no problem YOWStinger! For my Federation build I used +40, but +30 should work as well.

Yes, there must be, got another report from a shop in town today, TSW thinks that the front wheels will hit the brakes at +40, though I do find that unlikely if the Federation is running +40... No difference in the calipers could be some other oddity with hubs or something.

That's the same thing they told me. Must go with 30 to clear calipers. I wish I new for sure. Someone on the forum said no difference in AWD RWD clearance. The federation wheel sure does look set back more though. I have a few more months to figure it all out. Some body on this forum has to be an expert and hook us up. I am looking to fit 245/40-19 (same dimension as federation 245/35-20) tucked but safe.

Offset alone isn't enough for caliper clearance calculations - you need to consider the design of the spokes too (how thick they are, what shape they are, etc).

@GetYourWheels I don't suppose you could weigh in here? Any chance you're able to validate TSW Sprint 20x8.5+40 on a GT AWD? Sounds that's how the Federation was built, but maybe there's something were missing.

So anyone actually get these wheels yet?

Not gunmetal grey though. Machined faced black 19/8.5+30, 19/9.5+40. From memory20190717_170623.webp 20190717_170609.webp

So the federation wheel set up is 20x8.5+30 up front and 20x10+40 in the rear. What would 20x8.5+40 up front look like? Would it stick out more like the rear or be inset more? Assuming tires are 245 front 275 rear.

A +40 would be inset compared to a +30.
