I currently have the SSR midpipes and the Lumens bimodal (the Australian stinger Bimodal exhaust) and wanted to get a bit more growl from the exhaust. Wondering as to whether anyone has changed just the cross pipes to either aftermarket X, H pipes or straight pipes or would recommend against it as a daily driver? I would prefer not to get a full midpipe exhaust kit back secondary to cost already invested unles convinced otherwise.

I have tried having the bimodal open at all times but there is too much drone at cruising speeds.

Sample of how my stinger currently sounds

What I did was take my stock ones and cut the cats off and welded a pipe to it so it be all hollow x pipe

Thanks for the reply Niko. Did the straight through make a difference to sound +/- performance?

Yea it did it opened up the flow so it sounded a little meaner with my setup. I am finally happy with it. Performance wise it’s hard to say.

I did

Sound didn't change with the stock mufflers.
Performance gain not noticeable.

Don't do it! Made it tinny and didn't change pops/gurgles much

With primary and secondary deletes it made my car louder and I have a lot more pop/gurgles a lot more in decel.

The reason to do it is for flow. The inlet to mufflers were "crushed" to fit under the car. But it would not be a dramatic difference.

if you want to get rid of the drone, connect the muffler end pipes to a dedicated muffler tip instead of the stock bold ons. I did a custom tip welded to my muffler end pipe and all sound is outside with no more drone. quiet cabin except for acceleration.

What tips did you get to get rid of the drone. I just did the muffler delete yesterday and the shop just used the original tips that were inside the fake tips and the inside of the car sounds like a jet plane at all speeds. Very annoying.

At the very least, the muffler shop should've had the straight pipe long enough to fit through the OEM tips that are bolted on to the diffuser. I don't think it really matters what tips you get so long as they extend out through the cutouts of the diffuser. If they did have a pipe long enough and it goes through the OEM bolt on tips, you can also get some exhaust wrap to fill the space between the pipe and the inner walls of the OEM bolt on tips. I believe there is a thread discussing that, but I can't recall the title

UPDATE: I had the muffler shop extend the tip of the OEM tips and now they come all the way to the end of the pretty piece. If anyone is wanted to muffler delete, just know that it sounds really good but I’m order to prevent drone and vibration the tips have to go to the end of the pretty piece that is connected to the bumper

Would you recommend a muffler delete if there was no drone? Do the tips fix 100% of the drone?

I'm using Xforce Varex EVC mufflers with stock mid resonators right now, what do you think (as one of the top Stinger entusiasts from my understanding), would there be a potential change in sound? Or what else could I do to make it sound slightly mScreenshot 2020-06-30 at 22.49.00.webpore agressive?
Current setup looks like this:
