Pretty hard to tell from the picture - what did the dealership do during your last visit?View attachment 34875 found these off white specs under the hood. Any ideas??? I've tried cleaning it with no luck. I had it at the dealership a month ago and hate to admit this is the first time I've looked under the hood since my visit.
where else it could have come from
and is there any splatter on the underside of the hood ??Did you have a look at the fan, is it clean?
that rate it would take days to clea
The plastic rivets have a different strength and deformation requirement, and are likely made from a different plastic material than the top shroud. They may not have reacted with the substance that affected the shroud, and/or cleaned up easily when the OP tried to address it.I say this because all push pins are totally clean.
Still ... from the pics, its hard to explain why the shroud only was affected. No evidence on the engine, hood liner or anywhere else I can see. My assumption stands ... the shroud must have been off.The plastic rivets have a different strength and deformation requirement, and are likely made from a different plastic material than the top shroud. Lumbo baby !!!!
Maybe just spray paint it gloss black. Would look better than the OEM if ya do it right. Save ya from a dealer headache........nothing from the dealer 1.5 days later. Now I'm getting frustrated.
