This plug and play quick install adapter allows you to install a posi-tap for fuel control tuning without piercing the factory O2 sensor wiring providing a completely reversible connection.
It's a SIMILAR thing. ecko04 started with the idea and has been making sets for 3-4 months. Burger JUST got their shipment of those. But yes, they are more or less the same thing.
Ours took a long longer than expected to get produced so we appreciate enthusiasts like ecko04 stepping up to offer a useful product where a demands exists. Can't go wrong getting his adapters or ours.
Similar, but not the same. They do set out to accomplish the same goal.
The BMS adapters seem to be longer in length, presumably to allow for use on the 2.0T which has a slightly longer path to the O2 sensor. Also, The BMS adapters don't use any wire sheathing, which probably isn't needed, but does help to flow with the wiring in the bay a bit more since you rarely see a harness in the engine bay with no type of protective covering, even if it's electrical tape. I really like the use of the red wire for the BMS adapters.
The thing I don't like about the BMS adapters is the insistence on using those dang Posi-Taps. For me, it wasn't just about cleaning up the install, but I also wanted to rid myself of the reliance on posi-taps. The adapters that I made have gone through about 4 revisions at this point. The latest uses a push pin connector and a harness length specific to the 3.3, or 2.0, for the fuel wires now making uninstall a breeze and an installation that looks factory.
I won't be doing any additional batches this year. The interest for the November batch came a bit late and after I told the suppliers that I wouldn't need materials. I want to enjoy the holidays with the family without being concerned about a shipping commitment and the one, or two, members in each batch that think being rude will yield a tangible result. If I pick the project back up it'll be mid-January. Those members notwithstanding, the project has been fun, but i'm looking forward to putting the soldering iron down for a bit and enjoying my honeymoon.
Just wanted to thank @ecko04 for this awesome product and simple install video. I ordered my kit waaayyy back July and am just now getting around to installing it. Love it!
