New member intro!

Hello, folks-
I don't own a Stinger...YET! I do own a 2011 Optima SX that will be handed off to my daughter soon, so a Stinger is on my radar. I hope the forum will help in my decision.
Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. The Stinger is a great natural progression from the Optima. I hope you find our community helpful and informative. I'm glad you found us! :)

Thanks. My '11 Optima has been bulletproof. I'm trying to determine if anyone feels the same about the Stinger.

I gather that it's a blast to drive. I just hope it's dependable for the day to day also.

I daily mine. No mechanical problems at just under 30k miles in 15 months

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

I daily drive my Stinger in the Canadian winter. You want to relax and enjoy luxury and comfort ? Stay in comfort or even eco mode. You feel playful this morning ? Custom or Sport mode will help you out.

I setup my custom mode to be exactly like Sport mode, except that it's awd instead of mostly rwd (because snow and ice).

Welcome to the party. I can't tell a single thing I hate about that car.

I wouldn't use that descriptor. But my Stinger has given me twenty months and 29K miles of totally trouble-free performance. It's as perfect as a material object can be. Others have differing experiences. A lot is about expectation and perception, of course: and prior experience to compare with. In my case, a life of very used cars/vans could hardly prepare me for this fun ride!

Before this, Kia was not even on my radar. Any perception I had of the brand was old and therefore very out of date. The Stinger stung me out of my midlife lethargy and made me interested in cars; for the first time at this level. (I've always held a moderate interest in gorgeous cars, of course, because I am an average American male; but most of that interest has been for race cars.) A friend dropped the Stinger promo book in my lap late in 2017, and I read it over and over again all winter. When I decided to take the test drive my fate was sealed. I researched the car all that weekend, and on Monday I bought it. It's the only brand new car I've ever owned. I'd say I hit a homerun with it.

Welcome to the forum. I can also vouch you won't be dissappointed. Kia ranks in the top 3 for reliability too.

7 years warranty here, 10 over there all you need to know. But some sunroofs have pained a few members and the odd sqeek and rattle.
