ECU Tune

Thanks - although I was really asking about the

part.
Lol, good thing i didn't type out a book about the differences. ;)
Flash from your laptop by connecting to the ecus external connectors. Takes some hardware/ harness that you can buy/ rent / borrow. Havent heard recent updates but this is not far off.

M8, it does. Believe me. If something serious goes wrong about your car, coreans can request online video of your car. If something is wrong with your engine and gearbox, the first place they will check is ecu. Thats why we stoped opening up ecu's. I talked to several dealers and it's 100% warranty loss.

Also I tested back to back stingers with flashed ecu / lap3pro (i have their original software for lap top, so I can tune those boxes) and with 2.0 we get the same numbers. But with lap3 I do 3 maps for client. Stock (95 octane and 2 maps for 100 octane). Because the limitation is not a tune, but the turbo.

The only difference with lap / ecu flash is the throttle tuning. Yes, with lap we are not touching it, with ecu flash we make it sharper. But on the other hand, you can floor the throttle to get same result.
Look at the throttle opening in the log a few posts up. Pushing the pedal harder can't do that. Stock LC doesn't open throttle fully until 20 mph unless you brake snip.
I also second there is no such thing as 100% warranty loss as stated in the Magnuson act.

Sorry for being "that guy". I flashed my Legacy GT like 15-20 times with EcuFlash + VAG-COM cable for tune updates, not to mention a few times with AccessPort v1 before that. So I totally understand the general idea..

You made it sound like you had specifics, timelines, something - like: need cable X, software Y, rollout in 3 months or something. How do you know it's not far off? What's needed? Cobb getting involved? Or more RomRaider / EcuFlash type stuff?

Not Cobb. Heard this from Tork but i think @Thorne also knows more details. I'm already flashed so didnt take notes.
Just know its not bench and not obd.

Do you thing it would get full throttle using the E-brake method. Assuming your particular E-brake holds to 2500.

Nope. I have 2 modes with my brake snip and the mellow mode still takes until 20 mph to full open. So e brake would do the same.
LC top, mellow snip bottom
That timing is cyl 2-6 and break snip always messes up the timimg some , not sure why.

EU and Russian dealers dont care about some "magnusson act". Opened ecu, flashed car, piss off. Audi won several cases here against blown engines. Owners reflashed cars back to stock and Audi traced, that the cars were flashed.

I agree, that stock launch is useless. But noone knows how long the gearbox will last for if you do launch with 1.5kg of boost.

About throttle closing during shifts, thats good. Because box will last longer. When I had toyota with 2jz-gte and auto box, throttle would close during shifts and geabox lived. As soon as ecu was changed (with mechanical throttle), gearboxes started dying on monthly basis.

So...what I am saying. Stinger is not a dragster. I'build a car with piggy back ecu and it does 4.1-4.3s 0-100 and 100-200 8.5-9s (stock russian 4wd stinger wich is heavier than striped US rwd version does 0-100 in 5.3-5.6 and 100-200 in 14.5). Does it need to sacrifice reliability ? Does it need to 100% sacrifice warranty ? Does it need to be any faster ? I say no !

Will I open any more Ecu's, when I can install lap3pro ? No !

Does not turning my car mess it up over time?
Let’s say i have aftermarket parts such as cold air intake, MBRP exhaust, and down pipes.
The aftermarket parts “don’t require a tune but is recommended”

If you look at the Dyno graph, you can see that with stock tune + full exhaust, k&n filters in stock location, bov it makes 387hp. With lap3pro v2 tune it makes 460+ hp. That's a big difference.

I was told that if i don’t tune my car after awhile I’ll have problems with it??
