Hi all
The hatch on my GTS doesn't quite manage to close with the power function if the doors and windows are all closed - I guess the closure mechanism can't quite overcome the pressure of the air trapped inside the car. If I have a door open it's fine. Does anyone know if there's any adjustment that can be done please? Thanks in advance.

Haven't heard of anything like that before. Back to Dealer?

Very odd, have you tried adjusting the rubber stoppers located on the hatch itself? They can be turned to adjust inward or outward but I think you might require a larger adjustment by a dealer.

That's very weird. I would try screwing in the rubber stoppers a little bit and seeing how it goes.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I've tried winding in the rubber stops - they don't hit as they don't grip a piece of paper - the hatch still doesn't quite close - I can hear the mechanism trying to grab the latch but it doesn't, and when it closes there isn't a very good "thunk". Opening a door makes the problem go away every time, or if I give it a little bit of help as it gets to the closed position by pushin on it - it maybe needs the latch receiver thing moving upwards slightly.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I've experienced a similar issue if there was something preventing the hatch from closing properly. Make sure the hatch cover isn't interfering with the closure in some way.

Didn't know the GTS came with a power Hatch? Thought that was exclusive to the GT2 trim.

they dont and no way a dealer could buy and install that option either, the wiring and labor would be astronomical haha

I forgot the GTS is actually a different trim in the UK than here in the States. GTS there, is comparable to the GT2 here.

Yes you could try moving the latch receiver up a bit. Also check that the hatch stops on either side are not protruding too much possibly due to an over-enthusiastic application of the rattle fix described here:

Thanks - I'll give that a try

So, took both hatch stops off, made no difference. There's not really any adjustment on the receiver but moved it up as far as it would go, made no difference. I'm wondering if it's maybe operating on just one strut. It'll need an oil change soon, I'll get the dealer to check.

My UK GTS works just fine. Possibly a trip to the dealer?
